Rude staff as soon as we entered. He lady was extrenely rude and certaibly did not want to be working there. We were not made to feel welcome at all. 1 of us did not want the all you can eat due to allergies and we were told he had to have it as everyone must have it. We were that annoyed at the manner of the lady after we had sat down and had drinks we left without even eating. Certainly not as nice as previous staff. Will certainly not be returning.

Came for the "all you can eat" menu. Contemporary way of this being served, whereby you order as you go along and get one portion of each starter item per person dining to minimise wastage. When you then get to mains you each order what you want, with the ability to order multiple dishes which are prepared fresh. Minimises waste from people just piling plates to the sky and means that you actually consider what you want to try.

Take away chicken chilli sauce with egg fried rice. Unidentifiable as chicken, very chewy and coated in something. The sauce was separate. Barely any egg in the rice. All tasted a bit stale. Three quarters of it went in the bin. 14 quid wasted.

Weβve not long moved to Belper, and with a Chinese takeaway meal being a regular choice for us, we were keen to find somewhere good. This more than delivered. All of the dishes were fresh hot, and perfectly seasoned. We ordered the soft noodles (plain chow mein), chicken chow mein, shredded chicken in garlic and chilli, and banana fritters. All exceptional, incredibly fresh and delicious. We ordered on a Friday night - online form said 45 minutes. It arrived a little later than predicted, but I called the restaurant and the person who answered the phone was lovely and kept me updated. She also called me back when the food left for delivery, which was a really nice touch and much appreciated. Overall a fantastic meal, amazing service and two very happy and full bellies. Thanks so much. Weβll definitely be back soon :)

Never had such a overpriced and horrible Chinese take away, left us with belly aches and feeling nauseous what a way to spend Christmas Eve. The mock duck pancakes inedible even a dog would be offended to be served such a nasty dish. The chow mein was vermicelli noodles, and sauce at the bottom, when we called to ask if we had been given the wrong dish they said no itβs how it comes we shouldβve specified we wanted it dry, what on earth. Pancakes roll were missing from our order too. So glad we donβt live near by, if we did safe to say weβd never go there again. Horrific

Been here quite a few times and always had a brilliant experience, excellent menu choices and price. The only thing I could fault was on this occasion the staff kept forgetting about us when we would order drinks or food. We had to get up and ask a couple of times to which we were quickly seen to . It just seemed a bit slower than normal All in all a great night out

Having a strong recommendation from friends for this restaurant which give us no regrets, although is a bit far from where we live but it's really worth it. They do the all you can eat buffet menu which is a bit different from Wing Wah or Cosmo that you need to go to pick your food from the warmer, foods will get dry for a period of time, but in this restaurant, you pick what you want from the menu then the chef will cook it fresh and the waitress will bring it to your table, that is totally awesomeβ, you pay about the same price per head but getting so much joy while you eat, meats are so tender and tasty, we have enjoyed every bit of it, I like to say thanks to all the staffs from River Garden Restaurant in Belper. We have already booked a table on Father's day, so see you soon.
