   Abysmal customer service. Bought 2 pairs of jeans but due to the card reader going down was inadvertently charged twice (despite assurances at the time it wouldn't). Checked my online banking account and after calling my bank, they confirmed two payments and that I'd have to return to store for a refund. So after travelling to B'stoke at a further cost of petrol & parking ticket, I was met with atrocious & unsympathetic customer service despite having the jeans, receipts & banking screenshots. No apologies or gestures of goodwill. So my first shopping experience there has been totally marred & I won't be going there again.

   A reasonably large store with a varied selection of women's, men's, kids and teen clothes, shoes & accessories. The teen section is not very big or very well stocked but at least H&M do offer clothes for those between child and adult sizes.

   H&M The aim of the H&M franchise is to offer you fashion and quality at the best price. But..... customer comfort where it is? Since the shop has been remodelled, I go less and less. There are huge queues to pay, to try on clothes and above all you can't look at anything comfortably because the queue goes through the middle of the shop and you have to avoid people, a disaster. Then, after a queue of more than 45 minutes to pay, you realise that the workers at the cash registers are very, very slow, they don't know where their right hand is. The franchise is good, this shop is very poorly laid out, it is very uncomfortable and the workers are very slow, it is the only clothing shop that is open in the festival place that is worthwhile and honestly it is going down the drain.

   I went into the new h&m store in Basingstoke today as they have moved the childrenswear from its own shop back into the main shop. I was incredibly disappointed to find the childrenswear upstairs where it is incredibly dark only lit by weird spotlights which made it incredibly difficult to actually see the products and determine some of the important details like the actual colour of some of the clothes. It's such a shame as this is one of the main places I would buy clothes for my 2 daughters from when it was in its own separate shop.

   Great, always love H&M. This one dedicated to little people is great. Good choice of clothes. Most of the times all sizes available. You can recycle you old clothes there and that's truly amazing. Clothes go for recycling, go get more room in your child's wardrobe and you get £5 voucher. Everyone is happy!
