   Unfortunately when I sought an exchange for faulty footwear sold in this store, I was denied by Blacks despite the purchase evidence I presented to them. I expected a lot better from this establishment which previously I respected to a high degree. They have let me down and I will not be shopping at this chain again.

   Very helpful staff. Went in f6some new ice grips for my boots. Only about £20 and they really do help you walk in icy conditions without slipping and falling. They sell very nice clothing and gear for all weathers. Also dog friendly shop. They have some water and biscuits for your dogs.

   Was looking for a cosy jacket for the colder mornings Black's have a big variety of outdoor wear from Adults to kids was pleasantly surprised at the price of jacket I bought which is nice and cosy and 2 hats really nice helpful staff let you browse but was on hand if you wanted to ask about the jackets

   Blacks or millets both the same. Often pop in here if there's something l fancy. The staff are helpful and l think they price match ( or used too)..They used to sell Mountain equipment gear, not sure about now. They do north face berghaus etc. Used to like them for my montane gear but they don't seem to do much now..

   Fantastic professional service. My husband bought a jacket last week the service was so good we returned and after an endless supply to try on and the patience of a saint ( the man that served me) I purchase one. Would definitely recommend this shop so much better to shop local than the internet.

   Arrived to collect an online order, only to find it had been returned 5 days before the 14 day collection deadline (I was there on day 10). The sales assistant's attitude only made the situation worse, telling me I was too late, until challenged on the dates. Throughout the exchange there was no apology and they refused to make any efforts to call their returns people to establish whether the items could be retrieved. Quite possibly one of the worst shopping experiences I've had. Now awaiting a response from their customer care team.
