   Classic for those “I need a little bit of everything” emergencies: lightbulbs, small tools, kitchen bits. I like that they usually have what I need without me having to go to big warehouses. Also decent for home‑gadget impulse pieces: some are quirky, some are useful. However, stock can feel hit or miss — sometimes what’s shown in catalogue or online isn't there, or similar alternative is different in quality. The floor layout is okay but can feel cramped at times, especially near busy seasons. Staff are generally helpful.

   Thank you Wendy for helping me put batteries into my purchase which I had tried and failed to do. She coud not have been more helpful and friendly. When I returned to buy more, both Wendy and another young colleague assisted in the same way. Due to arthritis , I lack some movement in my hands and assistance was great.

   Good all round store for most household needs. From pots and pans to garden tools etc. Has a good selection of DIY hardware and kitchen appliances. If the store doesn't have it in stock you can order online for collection in store within a week usually.

   I love browsing the shelves of a Robert Dyas shop; they are full of so many interesting items and I could buy them all! The Maidenhead branch is a clean and well stocked example. With so many shops in the area seeming to struggle, I do hope it continues to serve us.
