   I had been given 10% off slips with the receipts for purchases I had made during November. I had three and the offer was 27 November to 2 Dec. I spent £62 today and when I asked about the 10% off was told I needed the receipt...I had assumed the 10% was automatically deducted as it was a black Friday deal on the slip. Make sure you take yours with you so don't waste them as I have.

   Stopped for a coffee n toasted tea cake this week. The tea cake arrived warm but not toasted. Apologies from staff that the toaster was playing up but wd pop through again. Came back black n burnt. Don’t think we will bother again.

   Yet another store more interested in stocking shelves than serving customers. Waiting quite a time whilst a 'manager' checks plastic bags is ridiculous. Then having to have the long discussion about the shelf price being different to the ticket price doesn't help. The store is generally OK prices not as keen as they would have you believe though. Service just so poor.

   Love this branch. It's always bright and tidy. Staff are super friendly and helpful. They have a big range of products and so can normally find what you are looking for. Cafe is brilliant if youve never been in as they do breakfast, lunch and snacks at a really good price. Cakes are yummy and again they don't rip you off, its really well priced especially for the quality of the products that you get, so yes I mean you not paying much but the food/drinks which are a at a great quailty, you'll walk away thinking how do they make any money, just shows lots of places rip you off for F&B, not here thou.

   Dunelm has good variety and good offers. Some are very eye catchy..You can customize your window curtains and buy the required size. While you shop for home there is a great cafe where you can Eat and resume your shopping. If you purchase lunch for 4 pounds your kid meal is free. While all posting about home products, I have posted Food picture . We tried Jacket potatoes it was good. Shop, relax and Enjoy in Dunelm Basingstoke.

   Click and collect half my order was missing the online chat told me to ring the store but they don't answer the phone, then I get cut off. Wasted my time and petrol. Check your orders before you leave. Terrible customer service

   I visited the Basingstoke store this morning. What has happened to this store? The customer lift was broken down, the ladies toilets were a disgrace. I was directed to a very young ( and scruffily dressed) man who was eating in the cafe. I discovered he is the manager and he couldn't have been less interested in the state of the toilets. The retail business suffers enough at the moment and apathy won't help.

   Fine..just hate the pay section layout, sort of throw back to late 70's woolworth checkout...your surrounded by last minute money grab offers. Why do the strategy team think its a good idea to cram people into these queue areas and put minimum staff on tills.

   Really pleasant experience getting my new lace curtains cut to measure today. Lovely helpful and polite young lad served me, and he was really nervous as he was still learning some aspects of his role, but hopefully my calm Northern demeanour put him at ease.
