Amazing atmosphere: James is a very patient and talented teacher and his classes are always fun yet challenging. Love the end of class moments when he asks you what is your take away from the session. Highly recommend!
Have done various forms of martial arts over the years, but this is by far the most realistic form of self defence I’ve ever done. James is a very experienced instructor and makes the classes throughly enjoyable , and the lessons cater for all ages, levels and abilities. Would not hesitate to recommend .
Excellent self defense training from James, Darren & Nat. Really knowledgeable and experienced instructors but with no ego, and a light-hearted atmosphere. Every class brings something new, and the curriculum is varied and rewarding. Been with the club for nearly 3 years now and it's amongst the best decisions I've ever made.

Been training with KMDA for nearly a year now. Thoroughly enjoy the lessons twice a week, which are both highly-informative and also an excellent workout. Friendly, professional environment that is suited to all levels of experience, age, etc. Can't recommend these guys enough.
I had no experience in any type of martial arts and this was my first attempt to learn some self-defence. The classes are very informative and physically quite demanding. I have learned so much in my time here. It is not the cheapest option out there, but as always, you get one you pay for. And here you get a lot.
KMDA is a brilliantly run organisation. The instructors show a level of professionalism that allows you to train in a safe and fun environment. As a women in a very male dominated club it was important to me that I felt safe and didn't feel intimidated. James and Dan, the instructors, made me feel very welcome and comfortable. They run the classes so you are able to train within your own fitness capabilities which helped with my enjoyment of the classes . I would recommend KMDA to anyone that wants to learn a very practical form of self defence. After every class I always feel like I have learnt something new and beneficial.
