We had a lovely cream tea at The Village Hamper in Sonning: perfectly warm scones, generous clotted cream, and jam. It was the perfect stop on one of our long weekend walks along the Thames. The cozy atmosphere made it a charming spot to relax and enjoy a peaceful afternoon. Highly recommended for a delightful treat!

Had a very good ploughman's and coffee, after our walk by the river. Saw several people eating takeaway baguettes and coffee from the shop so thought we'd try it. Great place, cute deli/shop and lovely cafe area and friendly staff. The cute guinea pigs in the garden were a bonus!

What a charming little place. There's not much in the area and I'm always one for supporting the local shop and these people deserve it. The food was lovely, reasonably priced. The lemon cake was so good and the salted caramel ice cream was some of the best I had in a while....and that's not even the best bit! Go into the garden and you will see a bunch of furry little friends to squeak and run around looking cute as you enjoy your meal. Go here if you want value and just overall great experience.

We have been working in the area and have been coming in every day for coffee and freshly made sandwiches. It is without doubt the best for fresh sandwiches. I am fussy and this is the first place to make a sandwich how I want and like it. Very friendly staff and a lovely place to sit and eat it. The cafe also welcomes dogs

Popped in here for an excellent cup of tea after a walk around Sonning. Lovely little café and shop. One comfortable room inside with about 6 tables and 3 or 4 tables outside in the garden. Also toilets. Very friendly staff. Try the bread pudding!

I have just had a delightful breakfast at The Village Hamper. A bacon sandwich done just the way I like it, a British berries smoothie and coffee. Very pleasant team running this cafe-cum-shop. Highly recommended.

Just discovered this absolute hidden gem of a little shop! Perfect for a tea, coffee and a snack (eat in or takeaway). It also offers a selection of household essentials, flowers and self-fill/refillable cereal, pasta, rice and popcorn!

Popped in after our walk along the Thames. Nice sandwiches, tea was standard and hot chocolate was very good. Definitely will visit again after my next walk.
