A lovely relaxing small tea room. Some steep stairs to upstairs of tea room but there are some tables inside downstairs and plenty of space outside. Dog friendly. Lovely staff and very relaxing, next to canal.

Such a lovely place! My friend and I booked an afternoon tea to celebrate our birthdays and they were so accommodating! They adapted the sandwiches/cakes according to any allergies/dietary requirements and the staff were super helpful. Would love to visit again.

A hidden away tearoom on the bank of the Kennet and Avon canal, offering a lovely selection of homemade cakes, good tea and coffee as well as a range of breakfasts and light lunches, which I have not tried but they looked good. Lots of outdoor seating, inside rather less. There's a smallish carpark and donations for use are requested. So if you do one of the many walks around the area you can start and finish with a good café and all it offers.

This is the first time that we have visited the Aldermaston Tea Rooms, and we enjoyed the food and the tea. We had egg mayo sandwiches on white bread, and the bread was very light. We then had a Cream Tea. The scones were very nice and light with plenty of cream and jam with a pot of tea for two and i hink we had 4 cups each out of the pot and the cost for this was £24 which we believed to be very reasonable. I can imagine that the tea rooms get very busy when the weather gets better but saying that it was busy today. There is a small carpark available which is free but there is a sign asking for a donation to the Kennet and Avon canal trust

Kind service, lovely location and atmosphere. Very reasonable price for cream tea too. I just wish there was a (more pricey) option for leaf tea and warm scones, possibly brushed with egg wash on top before the initial baking: these would also contribute to giving them a bit more color.

Living local so went to see the new tea room as it has new owners and recently re-opened. The whole place looks and feels welcoming and we had a lovely hot drink and cake, which was delicious and there is a great menu on offer. The staff were great, friendly and chatty. Will definitely be visiting this cafe again.

Staying in a nearby hotel, wanted to stop somewhere for lunch and found this cosy little tea room by the canal open on a Thursday in early December. Garden seating probably lovely in the summer but we stayed inside! Friendly welcome. Baguette and toasted sandwiches were lovely, decent serving size too. Happily would go back.

Stopped here as my half way stop on today's training walk for an ultra marathon later in the year. Gorgeous little tea room. Very cosy. Excellent selection of food and drinks. I had the cream tea. Both the jam and cream were generous portions. The tea was loose leaf and very delicious. My sister had a tuna panini and judging by her empty plate I'm guessing it was also fabulous. The toilet facilities were clean and tidy.
