Came across this pub on another dog walk. Great selection of cider and ale. Dog friendly and very welcoming.
John and Lana as the new landlords have turned this pub around into something special. Just had lunch for 5 which was everything a traditional Sunday roast lunch should be, including probably the best ever “nut roast” as an alternative to pork and beef. Excellent atmosphere and hosts. Highly recommended!
New management so no food yet, but a lovely country pub with a great pint and lovely surroundings.
Lovely traditional pub with large beer garden & patio area. Good beer selection. Nice atmosphere, the landlord & landlady are excellent hosts. The full English breakfast was great.
This was a great pub when the previous landlady ran it. However the new landlords have ruined it. They are incredibly rude and unpleasant people that can’t even be bothered to serve you. It’s such a shame as the previous landlady made the pub thrive, gaining lots of new customers.
Visited after a lovely walk along the Thames. Super traditional country pub, great value straightforward bar food, superb beer and friendly hosts
Greatly improved pub. Very friendly to morris dancers and their local audience. Good ale from a surviving West Berks and the Loddon breweries. Ample parking.
I think this might have been ok until recently judging by the reviews, bit when we visited there was no menu and we were only able to have sandwiches and chips. Hopefully it will get better as the new owners settle in
Beautiful pub on a quiet road, friendly staff and locals with a good selection of beers...and I can vouch for the seriously delicious Coppa Di Parma pizza! Been a while since I've been here...won't be so long until my next visit.
