My visit to Make & Brew was a delightful and cozy experience, defined by its creative atmosphere, quality coffee, and welcoming service. From the moment you arrive, the cafΓ© feels inviting, with its warm dΓ©cor, relaxed vibe, and artistic touches making it an ideal spot for both quiet reflection and social gatherings. The menu offered a wide variety of specialty coffees, teas, and homemade treats. The coffee was rich and aromatic, brewed with care and precision, while the teas provided refreshing alternatives. The cakes and pastries were highlights – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented – adding a sweet indulgence to the visit. What makes Make & Brew stand out is its creative spirit. Beyond the drinks and food, the cafΓ© celebrates artistry and community, offering a space that feels both inspiring and comforting. Service was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The staff created a hospitable environment, ensuring that guests felt welcome and well looked after throughout the visit. What impressed me most was the combination of quality coffee, cozy ambiance, and genuine hospitality. A visit to Make & Brew is not just about enjoying a drink, but about experiencing a space that blends creativity with comfort.

So lucky to have such a wonderful place that we can walk to for coffee, lunch or a sweet treat. My favourite place for coffee. Small menu but it is well made, fresh and tasty.

I come here often when peolle visit me and want to get coffee/light lunch. The menu is limited but there is something on it for everyone. I am vegan and love their vegan deli sandwich (obsessed even). Coffee is tasty.

This is a lovely coffee spot and you can really feel the community spirit here. It's lively and buzzy from the moment you walk in. They have both sweet and savoury treats and great drinks selection. A great place if you want to catch up with friends or spend time with family. Tables get taken up quickly so worth reserving a table especially if you're going during peak time.

Lovely place with great coffee and collection of tea! Great atmosphere with a lot of natural light and huge space. Unfortunately, I can’t find a seat as it was very busy. Will try the pastries on my next visit.

Both my friend and I had the same that was on the menu the fruit platter as I wanted to eat something healthier and it was really filling and the latte was a very welcoming warm drink. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would certainly go back to try something else on the menu

I couldn't tell you about the quality of the food or drink in this cafe. I was planning on having lunch here before attending an event in the church, but the prices were so high I didn't bother! The sandwiches start at Β£6 (except a bacon sandwich is Β£5) jacket potatoes at Β£8 and although the coffees seem reasonably priced, they're much smaller than an average coffee shop. The sign inside the door asks you to wait to be seated, so I stood there looking expectantly at the several staff in the kitchen area and waited. Several of them looked at me, and then ignored me. Eventually, after about 5 minutes a young girl collecting plates asked if I wanted a table, but by that time I'd seen the prices, told her no thank you and left. I felt like they'd taken one look at me and judged me as not worthy, that they didn't want me there so they sent the lowest-ranking worker to attend to me. Considering this cafe is in a church, I expected to be made welcome and the prices to be reasonable, as at Colne Avenue & Millbrook Christian Centre and Lord's Hill used to be. I definitely won't be going again.

Brilliant cafe. Always friendly, helpful staff and great coffee. A few table toys and colouring pens available to kids too. My go to place for a peaceful break.

The location of this cafe is fantastic. I feel like it creates a warm environment. I love the inclusion of people of all ages and abilities, it is accessible for wheelchair users with it being ground floor with a disabled WC and button-controlled doors. It feels welcoming and part of the community. The sandwiches and teas are always very good, and the cakes I've had are lovely.
