It was a nice experience even though it was raining outside. Relaxing to look out on the locks. I ordered cottage pie which was really tasty however the staff insisted its not made from real cottages! We'll definitely go again.
Having lived in Stenson for nearly six years, I had never visited the Stenson Lock Café before. It’s a really cosy café where you can enjoy watching the canal boats pass by while having lunch and a coffee. We got a large slice of chocolate cake for our two kids, while my partner and I each had a latte. The girl behind the counter was lovely, recommended the cake and portion size, and even offered to help us take the food and drink to our bench outside. It’s a really lovely place, and I will definitely walk over for lunch and a coffee after a walk in the future.
Very nice cafe in good location next to the trent and mersey canal. Prices are very reasonable, and homemade cakes are scrumptious. Cafe is clean, staff are friendly, really enjoyed it.
Lovely cup of cha nice to sit and watch barges go through lock. Good breakfast to be had. Great when u have done ur 10.000 steps or more.
We ve been coming here for 2 years now, it's in a fantastic place to watch the canal boats going through the lock. There is a an expansive menu offering delicious food and the staff are always welcoming and friendly, we can't wait for our next visit
Wonderful Afternoon Tea for my Sister’s birthday. We had a beautifully set table in the gazebo with views of the lock and canal. The service was brilliant and the food plentiful and delicious. Everything was fresh and tasty with plenty of tea and coffee. We were checked on often and felt very looked after. Would definitely recommend a visit and will be back to try more off the delicious looking menu.
We often call in when passing on our walks. We personally find the atmosphere to be welcoming and friendly. The menu is quite extensive for the size of the cafe. They also offer lovely cakes and desserts. Prices are reasonable and we have always found the food to be good quality. Their toasties are gorgeous. The premises are always clean and tidy. This cafe has a great view of Stenson Lock and is great place for relaxing and watching the canal boats with good food.
