Recently booked a repair and MOT with Gales garage and I must admit I was very impressed with their service. I will 100% admit that I know nothing about cars and some garages have been taking advantage of this in the past, but Gales garage was very honest with what needed doing and provided clear advice and pricing details. They were extremely accommodating with my circumstances (I might have left my MOT to the last minute) and I will definitely use them again in the future!

Was looking to fill up with unleaded so pulled up to the pump, had £1.43 already on the pump from the previous user. Once I inserted the nozzle it all went to 0 then £1.49 came up which I thought was odd. Instead I only put in £10. When mentioned it to the already grumpy woman in there I was told that the person before would have had diesel and that's why. I laughed.. .since when has diesel been less than unleaded? I won't be using this garage again. The Texaco garage near Ford is much better.

Thank you to the family run business of Gales garage for replying to my 4* rating & why I didn't give 5*s, reason being, I was in Basingstoke heading to Reading & needed fuel for my van so looked up a useful app 'petrol prices' I have installed on my phone for the cheapest prices around whatever area I happen to be in & your garage showed up as one of the top very cheapest but as it was minutes to 6pm & would take more minutes than that to get there, unfortunately on this occasion I wasn't able to come to use your place because it would have been closed by the time I'd've got there! I've just read some of your customer reviews & your replies & I now see & understand that you are a family business and work all the hours you possibly can, getting up & opening very early for deliveries & keeping your prices as low as possible so I am sorry for only giving 4 *s, I'll change that to 5 because I see how hard you work & how hard you try to do your best for customer satisfaction, I've not been there purely because I was there just slightly minutes out of hours, I of course like a fuel station to be open 24/7 if possible as I drive at all hours around the clock but as a small business, I know that is simply not possible.
