My mum and I visited Tutbury on New Years Eve 2025, we were looking for somewhere to have lunch and we found this very welcoming and inviting cafe. We were seated and shown the menu which had a great selection of foods and drink. We opted for the homemade soup of which there were 5 choices I had Spicy Parsnip and my mum had Cauliflower, which were delicious . The staff were very nice and welcoming too and the prices were very reasonable. We will certainly visit again. Thank you Willows

Really impressed with the menu and wider choices now on offer for lunch, e.g. All day breakfasts, homemade chilli. Had the hot roast turkey and stuffing cob with roasties and gravy, great quality, super lean thickly sliced meat and lots of it. Proper roasties and stuffing. Really good price, Β£11.99, lovely, very filling meal. Tea and cakes all lovely. Only negative is tiny coffee for the price. Hope the bigger menu stays.

Ordered the soup, it was delicious but unfortunately I canβt eat whole meal bread and when asked if they had an alternative, they refused. Canβt believe somewhere would only have one standard type roll. Not very edible. No white

We had a lovely afternoon tea at Willows. The tea room is cosy, staff very friendly and attentive and the food was all delicious and home cooked. I was so busy chatting and eating I forgot to take photos! Will definitely be back.

First visit to willows this weekend and donβt think I will be popping back. Arrived about 40 mins before they closed for the day and they seemed to be more preoccupied with closing then serving. I was shown to a table and left there. Another customer told me to go and place my order at the counter as they all appeared to be busy. Perhaps if the large amount of foliage didnβt surround the counter the person behind it might have seen us! Slices of the cakes were all wrapped individually in clingfilm and it did make me wonder how old they were. It Was certainly not worth the Β£4.25 a slice. Whilst having our tea and cake we were entertained by the floor mop wandering around in the hands of a young assistant. If only the same level of cleanliness had been given to our table which was sticky and felt greasy. The interior is tired and in need of a refresh. Sorry Willow but I will be heading somewhere else in future.

We called in for coffee and cake late morning. Very quiet although people came in whilst we were there. Coffee was good but cakes tasted synthetic would be better homemade. Very expensive we thought.

Not great about sums up everything about this place. Staff were pleasant but lacked any personality and really needed training on interacting with customers and how to deliver things to the table and not touch parts of a cup that the customer has to drink from. Cakes were OK not nothing special, my idea of a cafe is a place were cakes are homemade if I wanted a shop bought cake I wouldn't pay over the odds in a cafe for one piece that's the price of a whole cake, yes I understand they have overheads and its not the price I am referring to but the product. All in all I wouldn't return and struggle to find anything positive to say about the place, the product or the service.
