   For John Tomey My experience today was as pleasant as it could be sat in the chair, I've ended up with a tooth which looks much better than I thought possible, the dentist is so friendly she makes you feel really comfortable in that environment.

   I had my routine checkup with a dental assistant who was friendly and conducted a thorough visual examination of my teeth but no x-rays were taken. I also think that these examinations should be undertaken by fully qualified dentists.

   Dentist's care was very good, hence the 4* rating but I was surprised the nurse needed so much help with how to fill in the details the dentist gave during the examination. This was my first visit and there was no-one in reception to tell me what the password for the WiFi was, or where the loo was. I wasn't impressed by all the Hallowe'en decorations. Many of us do not celebrate or support Hallowe'en and it seemed very inappropriate to have decorations in a professional health location.

   The dentist Tanvi, ably assisted by Abi, did a brilliant job of removing an impacted tooth. It was a fairly long procedure and at all times Tanvi explained what was happening and ensured that I wasn't in pain. The next day there was no pain at all and I am very pleased indeed with the treatment I received. Thanks Tanvi.

   I have been wish Dentalcare, Pangbourne for about 5 years. I have had implants, fillings and extractions, etc. Since November 2021 I, along with my husband, have had 5 check-ups cancelled. I see from the reviews that we are not the only ones. What has happened to this once very reliable practice - they just don't seem to care anymore. This morning I phoned to attempt to reschedule this Saturday's cancelled appointment - I was "No.1" in the telephone queue for 45 minutes. We need a reliable NHS Dentist in our village, please.

   my wife booked an appointment here to follow having three front teeth out at Thatcham hospital, when she arrived on Friday morning she was at first told they had lost the new plate, which was then found, she was then told that you have no NHS dentist available until Wednesday next week, she has just come home in crying her eyes out, when i spoke to them practice manager all she would say is they have only have a private dentist available today and the booking was taken by a trainee!! why wasn't the trainee being monitored? disgusting attitude from the practice manager who didn't seem at all bothered, i will be complaining to the NHS and making sure it is posted all over facebook

   I've been a patient of this practice for many years and now cannot seem to get an appointment for a routine check up, they keep telling me to call back next month this has been on-going since August! I have also been trying to call them for the last week and no one ever answers even though it says I'm number one in the que and been on hold for over an hour, very poor service. I just want an appointment to have my bleeding gums looked at but apparently this doesn't seem to matter. I got told I can pay for a private appointment but why would I when I should be entitled to free NHS care as I'm pregnant. To top it off I get an email from them saying I'm over due a check up, absolute joke

   The hygienist is amazing! I am really phobic about the dentist but Francesca really put me at ease. She did a fab job too, I've now got a shiny new smile! Never had such a brilliant hygienist who was kind, re-assuring and thorough. 10/10

   This used to be great dental practice but over the last 2-3 years has rapidly gone down hill. Appointments are really hard to get and when you do manage to get one they cancel them. More recently I had a dental emergency. There is no answer on the reception desk and it takes a while for an email to be answered. I was informed that the practice has no dentist until Mid November and does not provide emergency support. If you need dental help - ring 111. This is truly shocking. The lack of dental care has led to me being in left in severe pain and now having to resort to private treatment which I can't really afford. I have given the review 1 star as you are not allowed to give it no stars.
