10/10! I booked a last minute appointment for a French manicure. Came in early and was offered a refreshment while waited. Emily the nail tech was a gem! Made me feel comfortable and we chatted the entire appointment! It was my first time getting a French manicure and I will certainly be coming regularly. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves to be pampered and a newbie like myself.
I have been going to this salon for years and had never had an experience like this until today. Due to the current road works around the town I was worried I might be late to the appointment and have called to let the salon know that I might 5 minutes late. I thought I was being courteous in doing so lettingthe salon know. However, this was not received in this way by the salon. I need to mention here for the clearer picture that I was booked at 13.30 for a full head of highlights and a cut. I was told by receptionist/manager that if I am late they will only do a half head of highlights. This has rather surprised me as 5 minutes being late surely does not correspond to a half head of highlights. So I questioned this and received an allowance of 5 minutes to be late. A permission from the teacher! Definitely not the salon who values their customers. I arrived exactly at 5 minutes late at 13.35 and was greeted through the teeth. I have no issue with the hairdresser -Sophie - herself. In fact, I can highly recommend her. She has been doing my hair for several years and always does it very skillfull. She will always listen to your ideas and will work with you to get exactly what you want. She is happy to recommend the best shape, the best colour for you and is open to explore your ideas. Going back the receptionist/manager - I never carry cash with me but always like to leave a tip. I had done it many times before by letting the receptionist know that I want to include a tip in the full price. This had never been an issue before and I always paid it this way. Today, however,I was told (literally told!) that I need to make sure I bring cash with me if I want to leave a tip. Hmm. OK, I guess everything can be understood if it is said in the right manner. But if it is put to you as an ultimatum or said in a comanding tone, this message is being then received very differently, right? Here, I do want to clarify I didn't pay or come to have an army/school experience. I came for a nice experience of my hair being done. The person needs to learn how speak to the customers if they want them to come back or not to take position they cannot perform well at. My experience today despite the great hairdresser (and she is trully great) has definitely made me think to explore other salons available which are thankfully we have plenty in Wokingham.
I came to the hairdressers today for a long awaited well over due Haircut. It was the very Ist time that I've visited Inspirations in Wokingham. So I was a little nervous of visiting a new Hairdressers. I was greeted so warmly by the receptionist and the lovely friendly staff who made just made me feel so at ease. The atmosphere was so just lovely. I would love to Thank JESS the Hairdresser who cut my hair so lovely and so perfect today. When I walked out of the salon I just felt like a million dollars!!!!!. I want to give Inspirations 5 Stars for the highest quality, great service and great prices . I will definitely be using Inspirations from now on and into the future. Vanessa Booth
I booked in with Paula because a previous hairdresser at a Reading salon had given me an awful haircut; I'd been to another salon to have it "fixed", but it still wasn't right so I trusted Paula to give me the chop. I now have a lovely bob; it's easy to style, well cut and looks great! Paula was so lovely, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and gave me some good recommendations on products and tools I can use. I think I have finally found THE Wokingham salon that I want to return to. I'm looking forward to my next appointment with Paula in the new year. Thanks!
Had my hair cut and coloured and I absolutely love it. My hair looks amazing and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back here again.
Worst hair cut I’ve ever had. And totally gaslit for my upset. Was reduced to tears and walked out with my hood up. Will never return, will never recommend. Proprietor’s efforts to redeem her reputation are in vain if she perpetuates the gaslighting. Never used so much hairspray to manage my hair and never worn a hat so much in attempts to mitigate the damage caused by the need for hairspray. Diabolical. Paid lip service but not really listened to prior to nor after the scissors and basically told I’m ridiculous for wanting a normal haircut as opposed to this mick jagger I’m sporting now. Didn’t even ask for a FRINGE!!
I had an amazing experience getting my ears pierced here! The staff were lovely and answered all questions professionally making us feel content and comfortable. They were also very warm and welcoming! Everything was clean and safe with a lovely selection of earrings to choose from! They ensured my piercing was symmetrical and in the centre of my ear lobe and now I am SO happy with it and my earrings look lovely! Overall, my experience at Inspirations was so lovely and I would definitely go again! :)
Wow....what a great find in Wokingham. The best haircut I've had in over 20 years. Everyone so friendly and lovely. I also had extensions by Katie on my second visit and they look absolutely fantastic. Everyone in the salon were so excited for me and made me feel wonderful. Katie is an excellent stylist, giving me advice and guidance on how to look after them as well. They also accommodated this last minute appointment for an event Im attending. Although I'm moving away I shall be coming back every 8 weeks to get my hair done. Once you find a good hairdressers you can't go anywhere else!! Thank you, I feel a million dollas xx
