My family have used Taylors Garage for several decades. Such lovely people, very friendly and helpful, collecting and delivering the car for it's MoT and service. Any problems have been swiftly taken care of with no inconvenience.
I took my beloved mint condition ktm 990 sdr here for mot, he failed it on rear number plate reflector the lack of one, he sold me one for a£1. 00 then proceeded to pass it, now there's a needless fail on my bike I was waiting there with the bike. As he stuck the reflector on my bike he proceeded to tell me that ktm are crap I found this rude and needless and won't come here again.
We did not have a good experience with this garage. Taylors returned the van having fixed an issue(£480). When we went to drive it 2 days later, it was not driveable. They recovered the van only to say it was another issue and wanted another £400 plus to fix the new issue. They insist the van was fully working when returned to us. I cannot quite understand how it developed the new fault whilst sitting on a drive. They then charged us another £78 to recover the vehicle and re- code it. The conversations were curt and sometimes quite rude and dismissive. Needless to say we lost all trust in them and recovered the van from their garage ourselves.
Both me and my partner have recently bought second-hand cars from Taylors - one a Polo, the other a BMW. Any teething issues (only a v few, I should add) were dealt with by Simon and his team really quickly and professionally. Lots of folk around here use them for servicing, MOTs etc. Highly recommended.
Got caught short without enough charge in my electric motorcycle, they let me re-charge for several hours allowing me to get where I needed to go, incredibly helpful. 13 miles would have been a long way to push!
I just wanted say a huge thank you to the lads from Taylors garage who saved me from a huge disaster, filling up my Pickup with Petrol instead of Diesel! They were so helpful and understanding and were really quick to get me back on the road. I would recommend this garage to anyone. Thanks again.
Whilst packing up the car to go to the airport and fly, I noticed that one of the tyres was a bit low compared to when I had checked them the day before. I telephoned to explain and they dropped everything to help. Within an hour, they had tested the tyre to find that it was in imminent danger of blowing so they changed it for the spare and arranged for a new one to be ordered. I was on the road to the airport and didn’t miss my plane. What service and thoughtfulness all with a smile and the bill was very reasonable. After nearly 30 years of relying on Taylors, they never fail to deliver excellent service.
The gentleman at Taylors are my heroes. I burst 2 tyres nearby and they went WAY above and beyond to ensure that I got back on the road again, working after hours and making a great effort to source new tyres for me even though they don’t stock them, and charged an incredibly reasonable price. Experiences like this restore my faith in humanity. I couldn’t recommend more highly.
I needed an interim repair at very short notice so I could travel home safely from a holiday in the area. Taylor's fitted me in on a Saturday morning, were kind and friendly when I was clearly a bit flustered, and the fee was incredibly reasonable. I'm very grateful to them, and thoroughly recommend their services.
