   HORRIBLE! I got acrylic extensions and Ive only had them a little over a week and they are already slowly coming off, when I was getting them done they cured dirt and fabric string under the top coat and there are so many bubbles, they are also miss shaped and do not fit my nail base and when they cured it some of the nail polish moved!! I paid £40 for them to look terrible! Never going back ever again, would not suggest this place to anyone!

   We’ll NEVER again!!!! Not Only are their hygiene standards are disgrace. Communication is horrendous. I booked an appointment and was waiting for 40 minutes. Multiple girls lined up having tips put on and having to wait. I was cutting the process of having my nails done after been in the salon for two hours. I just wanted to get out of there. Walking back to my car and noticed my nails were wonky and poorly done. I was charged £70 for this. No gloves are worn, even though my finger was bleeding. The response I got When complaining via Facebook was quite frankly appalling. I was told, even though my finger was cut No risk of infection. Obviously, we all know that no matter how small cut any open Wounded poses risk of infection. Safe to say this place probably needs to be shut down. I will be reporting to trade in standards and the council. I don’t believe that health and safety standards would approve of being told there is no risk of infection!

   I am writing to formally log a serious complaint regarding the standard of service and health and safety protocols I experienced during my appointment at Ruby Nails on 14th December. I have been a loyal customer of your establishment for a significant period and have consistently been satisfied with the service until this recent visit. During the treatment, the technician assigned to me exhibited a lack of due care and professionalism. The service felt rushed, and the technician was excessively rough throughout the procedure. The primary issue occurred when the technician caused three lacerations to my fingers. When I attempted to inspect my hand, my arm was physically restrained by the technician, who prohibited me from viewing the injury even as blood became visible. Furthermore, my concern escalated significantly due to a severe breach of hygiene protocols. To stop the bleeding, the technician applied a powder to the open wounds using a nail tool that was visibly uncleaned and had not been sanitised either before or after contact with my injuries. This unsanitary practice presents a significant risk of infection. I have since left the salon with three stinging cuts that require medical attention and proper care. Due to the physical injury sustained and the concerning lack of hygiene and care exhibited by your staff member, I request a formal investigation into this matter. I also request details on how you propose to resolve this situation, which may include a refund for the inadequate service and compensation for the injury and potential health risks incurred. I have attached photographic evidence of my injuries for your records. I expect a response to this.

   I bought my daughter and her friend here for her 13th birthday today and I’m not impressed with the nail service at all! No one speaks English so hard to know what’s going on. The staff are unprofessional! A guy started doing my daughters nails then just got up and left her without any explanation then when I questioned this all I got was she will do it later referring to another person working here! No explanation at all and very rude. When my daughter did eventually do my daughters nails she was very rough with her and some of her nails are not even! The price online is different to in store! My daughters and her friend was charged £40 for something that says £28 online. I questioned that and gave me some rubbish about her wanting pink and white and not clear and white! The nails turned out nice in the end but won’t be bringing them back.

   I had two ladies doing a french for me. Both of them weren’t wearing mask or gloves. It was very strange as in the start they didn’t sanitise or asked me to wash my hands. In the end, the quality wasn’t the best. As my own nails were chopped not in the nice way and under nails was a bit of chaos. In general it was done alright and was holding for 3,5 weeks.

   Awful service they are rude treat you like a doll and charge you the price they want by looking at you!If I didn’t ask they wouldn’t even activate the massage chair or even ask me if I wanted it! Worst pedicure I ever had and more expensive than any other saloon! Also they don’t take cards only cash so they can pay the taxes they want! Thieves! I will never go back!

   Absolutely worst nail salon I’ve ever been to. Came today to get a full set & received wonky, uneven and unequal length nails. After having my nails filed down I was asked to wash my hands so they can continue with painting. I looked down at my hands in despair, a three year old could have done a better job. I told the man that was doing my nails that the nails on my right and left hands were completely different shape and length - to which he responded that it was because ‘my natural finger shapes are different’. Absolutely laughable excuse, considering they managed to get them to look somewhat similar after I refused to accept their current state. He sent me on to another woman to fix them, who was constantly rolling her eyes at me and being so rough that she actually cut my skin. WORST PLACE EVER. If there was an apocalypse that wiped out every nail salon bar Rubys, I still would not return. I am baffled as to how this place is still open. Horrible nails and horrible staff.

   We are regular customers for the eyebrow services. Went in today for eyebrow waxing and threading with the younger eyebrow lady. (From the previous comments she is the rude looking one). Came out with a large scratch on my forehead which definitely wasn’t there before . We questioned the lady (because we believe it is extremely obvious it has come from the thread scratching the skin). The lady denied it and said it is an healed mark as it has already dried. We tried to explain that’s not how scratches work. She then started shouting and swearing at us in front of the customers, and then even tried to get another customer involved which is absolutely shocking. If she had just been honest and said it was a mistake this would have been fine. The other 2 ladies are excellent and friendly but avoid this women. Extremely disappointing and absolutely shocking and nasty behaviour, we couldn’t believe this and had made us deeply upset. It has made my daughter extremely self conscious.

   100% worst nail shop in Reading. I have been coming here for at least 7 years now and never had an issue. However in the last 3 months I have been, it has turned awful. Staff are rude, abrupt and hostile. They don’t care about the quality of the service they provide nor their customers. Even though the prices are cheap, it’s not worth the treatment you will receive whilst visiting this shop. Your appointment will be rushed, meaning the job is not done properly. The last time I had a full set of acrylics here, they came off within 2 weeks. During my last visit, a customer was on her lunch break and was asking how long the wait would be. A member of staff stated it would be at least 10 minutes. 15 minutes went past, so the customer asked again - the members of staff began to mimic the customer “oh how long I’ve been waiting for 15 minutes” and making fun of the customer. The customer consolidated in me and told me how upset she was, so when I was seen by the person doing my nails, they were so rude and aggressive to me! Not only that, completely rushed my appointment and gave me chipped nails. I will never return here ever again, and I hope a lot of people stop coming to this place because it’s cheap! Spend more money elsewhere and get what you pay for and good service, because this place is not it.

   Save your money, mental health and sanity... Been coming here for some time now due to their competitive prices, but never again. The gates of hell would have better customer service! They are continuously are rude and treat you like a second class citizen. Very hostile and arrogant. Also their card machine is always “broken”. Very clear they are avoiding to pay their taxes…. The south asian ladies who do the threading are absolutely LOVELY and kind. They are too good for this place. But the rest of them are god awful. I would give some advice to management but honestly she is the problem! So just pay the extra money and go somewhere else. There are so many other places in the area who will give your far better service.
