   I bought an Alfa Romeo from Arnold Clark and at first everything looked professional – friendly staff, smooth process and a lot of promises about customer care. Unfortunately, my experience changed completely shortly after collecting the car. Within days I discovered a serious defect (yellow sludge under the oil cap, showing possible coolant and oil contamination). I immediately exercised my legal right to reject the car under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, providing written notice, photos and even visiting their site in person. From that moment, instead of helping, they refused to take the car back and kept insisting on “bookings” and “inspections” to delay things. They arranged one even while I was out of the country. The support after sale has been extremely poor – once the payment is made, you are on your own. I have now escalated the matter to Trading Standards, the Motor Ombudsman and the Financial Ombudsman Service. My advice to anyone buying a car from Arnold Clark: check everything twice, keep written proof of all conversations, and don’t rely on promises of “after-sales care”. I gave one star only because zero isn’t possible.

   The whole experience was fantastic. Customer service was brilliant. Having Jamie to contact throughout the process and update me on every step was great. It all went so smoothly and I'm in love with my new car! The personal videos of the car were great, thank you! Picking up my car from Shrewsbury was so simple as most of the paperwork had been done over the phone and online prior to pick up. The free gifts were lovely touches too. I've never experienced customer service quite like it. I can't imagine buying from anywhere else now and I'll definitely be recommending you to all my family and friends. Thank you all so much!

   I regret the day I bought the car from Arnold Clark. The car for which I pay almost £500 per month for 5 years and from the first month it had a lot of problems. First the parking sensors (then at the garage when they changed the sensors they broke both my rear lights but you only replaced one mentioning that they only broke one (I have proof with photos before and after and I sent them and they're lying to me). The car has oil leaks, a luxury car from 2015 that is full of rust under it and under the hood (which was never specified in the contract). A car full of problems and at which they shamelessly tell me "It's an old car, it's not new". Ok, if it's an old car and you know it's a wreck then please give it to me for free. What a shame on them, I went to the garage and always they were saying something else, they blame each other to make you dizzy. The approx £24000 car came with after market brake pads (and moves internally). A car that we probably bought in better condition from a private person than from Arnold Clark.(1 month guarantee).i have photos and i proved it but they still mocked me they always lying. They called me to their service after they broke parts of my car and didn't change them and I always paid Uber, they didn't even give me a replacement car. I do not recommend Arnold Clark, it is the biggest mistake of my life, the worst decision, I am sharing my experience so that you know to take care in the future. They are thieves and they lie to your face, they break down the cars and leave you to repair and replace them after they break down. Zero stars is a big vote it doesn't deserve. Arnold Clark deserves less than ZERO. The worst services, the worst experience in life, the most unserious company Arnold Clark, the most thieves and liars. And they make fun of you, they make fun of you without scruples. Don't be like me, you'll regret it. Buy cars from other companies, NOT from Arnold Clark

   Couldn’t care less about the after sales, reported this on the 1st weekend of having the car, 2 months on no further on been in twice for head light to be looked at 1st time got told it needs replaced, 2nd time was a carry on, cancelled on me twice, then had the car for 4 days to get told nothing wrong! 24 hours later shock and behold back misting up again! Been a week and no one has phone me back after phoning multiple times asking to speak to a manger! Got told they would leave the job open but honestly they just fill you of so much rubbish it’s unreal. Never using or buying from them again and I’ve always bought a car from them even buying the car was a carry on there was signs from the start it wasn’t meant to be! Poor just lost a long serving customer!
