A really super Super Market that offers great bargains at reasonable prices and wider isles to shop in comfort. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff are very helpful indeed. There’s a great variety of product. The large car park is very convenient and well organised.
We go there every week for good reasonably priced groceries. This week we had 10% off everything with Lidl plus as we spent over £250 in July. Saved over £9. Would thoroughly recommend it.
Pretty decent store just off Reading madness, nice location with plenty of parking. It’s pretty clean and would probably be better if people wouldn’t throw things on the floor and leave them there. Seems organised quite well on the shelves however a variety can be improved on. Also please hire people on the tills especially at peak times as it can be frustrating to see 1 member of staff in the whole store while multiple customers are waiting to pay. Otherwise don’t change anything apart from adding few more flowers at the front of the store, they can be quite inviting.
I had a really nice experience in Lidl yesterday and also couple of days earlier. Great prices, good quality for low prices. Nice selection of ready lunch salad boxes/sushi. Fresh vegetables and pastries . I had a nice conversation with one member of the staff as I needed some help, the lady was nice and helpful. I was impressed with prices of the sensodyne toothpaste! Managed to find some Christmas decorations already.
Was amazed to see their fresh bakery section. Highly recommend it!
You visit 1 LIDL, all the other LIDLs are the same. Like their bakery stuff, but the muffins are going from BAD to WORSE. I was told, muffins come frozen and they just thaw the packets before loading into the shelf.
This morning I had an unbelievable and unacceptable experience with a woman manager at Reading, Bath Road Lidl store. While I was shopping in the bakery section a woman manager started shouting at me saying I can’t take the bakery items out by hand, because other people eat them too. I have told her I only touch what I intend to buy. I also had several other people around me who were also touching the bakery items by hand but she only shouted at me which I found really rude. She was very unprofessional , she stood in front of me blocking the bakery isle and said I’m not allowed to take anything from there. I don’t understand why she singled my out when everyone else around me was doing the same I found the behaviour very disturbing from a store manager who should be encouraging customers to shop at the store not blocking them from doing so! I told her I wan to take some more items as I’m doing by shop like everyone else but then when I try to take a pastry she jumped in front of me nearly pushing me over then shouted at me to leave the store and whatever I try to buy I will not be served . I then left the store very upset and shaken from the experience as I have never been treated like this in a shop before I find it absolutely disgraceful to treat your customers like this! I will be informing everyone I know about the experience and will tell them to steer clear from Lidl because they allow managers to treat customers in such unprofessional manner!
Good parking, wide range of food, soft and alcoholic drinks, unusual selection of "middle aisle" goods. There is even a customer toilet. No cafe though.
i Love this Lidl a Supermarket it’s a Very Large Branch, & the Staff are very helpful Especially Ania she’s very Good on the Tills & Pays attention to Detail….
