It’s a lovely shop but I was shocked to see a guy behind the butcher’s counter dropping raw chicken into a huge tub of very industrial & artificial looking red powder labeled ‘Chinese marinade’ and then putting the lid back on the tub and putting it away, complete with all the moisture that the chicken would have had on it! Surely basic food hygiene directive and common sense would dictate that you don’t do that - and even worse it was facing the shop and in full view! Needless to say I won’t be buying any meat from there.

Last-minute meet-up with a friend to put the world to rights, and Wellington Farm Shop didn’t disappoint. I walked in at 11:45 and it was absolutely packed, so I was fully prepared for a 30–40 minute wait after ordering. Instead, the lady who took my order—who had a brilliant sense of humour—had my breakfast out in just 15 minutes. Wow! What fantastic service delivered by genuinely great staff. I couldn’t resist picking up some of their fresh marinated chicken before leaving, and served it the same night—delicious. A return visit is definitely on the cards. Highly recommended. 5/5

We’ve been going to Wellington Cafe and Farm shop for many years. It’s always been a lovely place to visit and even better since the expansion. The food is continuously excellent and the produce in the shop is a great range with some really nice and interesting food and wine. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the prices aren’t too silly, albeit they are not low for sure. Definitely recommended for a good breakfast or brunch, or a nice lunch!

I recently visited Wellington Farm Shop for breakfast, and overall had a very pleasant experience. The restaurant is large and has plenty of seating, both indoors and outside on their lovely terrace - looking over the surrounding countryside. The menu was honestly fantastic, and it was a hard job to choose a dish. I went for a brunch bruschetta which was absolutely fantastic, and packed full of flavour. The service was a little slow as they were busy, but the staff were all very friendly. The shop offers a wide range of produce, including a huge meat counter, deli items, as well as lots of fresh produce. As with most farm shops, it was on the more expensive side but it’s absolutely worth it for the quality. I’d definitely recommend a visit to Wellington Farm Shop and I will certainly be back in the future to sample more of their fantastic food!

Hungry and ready for brunch, we managed to find this great farm shop and cafe just off the A33 near Riseley. Food was very tasty and the staff were very friendly and Will was an excellent host. Bravo to the staff who helped the poor lady who was choking on her food. If it wasn’t for their fast actions to help her out she would’ve been in a very bad way. Well done!

Lovely place for lunch whilst visiting the area. Lots of food on the plate, goats cheese and beetroot salad was lovely, whilst fish and chips went down well with the son. Daughter in law loved the platter board too. We had booked and so glad we did. As much as we wanted to try the cakes there definitely was no room for them. Lovely little shop at the side as well with food and gifts.

Large and upmarket farm shop just off A33 on Berkshire / Hampshire border. Good sized gravel car park with no drainage problems. Shop is huge with a large selection of food goods. Large cafe serving a limited of cooked and bakery products. Try not to get a seat near to the patio in winter months as it's cold when it's open. Although our drinks arrived early, we waited a long time for our food. Centre doesn't take cash and nearly all of staff wearing masks as were customers so it was pretty Covid safe. Probably the best farm shop in southern mid Berkshire.
