Went for breakfast with son. Great fast service. My avocado toast was arranged in shape of heart. Lovely touch. Great service from lady called Paula. What a great employee.
We have been shopping here for years, it’s a HUGE Tesco with everything you can imagine! We always shop here late at night so we have never been here at a time when the CUSTOMER TASTING HUB was open (8.30 am - 4pm 7 days a week!) What a wonderful experience it was! We were warmly welcomed in and the procedure was explained. It felt like I was dining at a Michelin style restaurant! The kitchen was immaculate, staff were friendly and helpful. We sampled the pork belly (pictured), mince pies (we compared 3 brands), crisps and mixed nuts. We were encouraged to try as much as we wanted, and with each item we filled in a survey on the tablets provided. They had water available to drink with the samples and we left full and happy! We even ended up buying something we had sampled! So try find the CUSTOMER TASTING HUB next time you are there, it’s at the back of the store.
Shocking state of affairs here this evening. First of all delivery cancelled (vehicle breakdown, blah blah) Delivery changed from 5-6pm to 9:45-10:30pm. Tracker says delivery outside so we open up and see him 2 doors down parked up. He then drives away failing to even get out the delivery van. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. I followed the van to Sandhurst where he gets out and blatantly lies about the failed delivery to JJ the Night Lead, who was brilliant by the way. He then comes clean. Ring door bells and CCTV on every house in our street. Let’s see if PB deals with the colleague or will I see him again driving around. Truly the worse service I’ve seen in 20 yrs of retail management. My family finally got food at 23:30pm after I collected it!
I'm not a big fan, sorry. The stores are just too big, the self check outs are a pain. As there are only a few cashiers, folk are using the SCO to put trolley loads through. Such a shame, if you're a regular shopper at tesco it's fine, but to a Newby, too big
The service is always slow here unfortunately, as the actual store layout works great. Sat at self service awaiting assistance but watching staff mingle instead, during less busy hours too!
For a extra store you’d expect amazing stock, and amazing selection well not in the Sandhurst/Camberley Extra store. No pain au chocolat, no basic vegetables, and then asked where to find laundry powders, the Tesco worker was aggressive and did not respond. Don’t really recommend shopping here.
Covid restrictions are over, and every other shop has resumed to normality except for this Tesco store. This Tesco has decided to keep really irritating rules and restrict the flow of people in and out of their store. Whilst next door at m&s you can freely walk in and out of any entrance. Tesco has decided that they want to be as unwelcoming as possible by keeping shutters down more often then they're open. And force their customers to walk to the very far exit even if they have paid for their goods near the entrance. It's absolutely ridiculous. It seems they like to save money on security or something rather then care about their customers shopping experience. Lately I just get what I need from elsewhere so that I can avoid having to pop in here as much as possible. Their ranges and lines are massively reduced so hard to find good varied items anyway. The picture I've taken shows just how unwelcoming the entrance to this store is. The metal gates are unnessesary and force everyone to filter in from a single direction as if we are sheep. Tesco management clearly think of their customers like sheep rather then people. I would happily change this review if I see improvements. But lockdown restrictions lifted a while ago now. And I've not seen any so far.
