   The service in this store is appalling! Lady in charge (or the owners wife)is so rude and racist and they practice extremely poor hygeine to say the least! And just so you know, they will NEVER accept anyone who just needs removal of their extensions/acrylics or colour. I saw them reject 2-3 people (their own clients) who walked in to ask for removals and they rejected them stating that they’re busy and booked up and took in multiple walk ins right after for people who needed other services that required more £. There are many other nail salons in the same area with better work. I’d recommend you give your business to them, these guys are absolutely awful!

   Iv recently moved back into the area so was looking to find a permanent new nail salon to get a BIAB manicure and gel on my toes/pedicure done each month and I am delighted that as of today this will be my salon of choice and have already booked in for next month! After multiple bad experiences from a salon in portswood due to awful customer service I decided to find somewhere else. So with unfinished BIAB nails I ventured into VA nails to get a take off and fresh set, as they were quiet they were happy to accommodate a walk-in appointment. They were great at communicating the whole way through! Firstly by informing me that they couldn’t put a nude shade on my toes for French style toes due to the other salon using too much blue gel that they couldn’t file anymore off without leaving my nails too thin; so I was happy to pick a blue shade then just have a french manicure with blue tips to match instead. Secondly by advising to have my hand nails shorter due to the weird curving and unevenness of my nails. The quality of their work was amazing I was very impressed with the shaping especially under my nails as well as the final product. The way the nail lady was chatting away with another customer when I turned up really eased my anxiety over the previous negative experience of customer service that I had the day before at the previous salon. I can’t wait to go back next month and promise I won’t be as stiff in my fingers as I won’t be anxious next time.

   Today's experience exceeded my expectations. I have had my nails done at VA nails for some time now, and the main reason I return is that I have always been accommodated with my intrigued requests. Today especially, I have asked to adapt a square nail design onto an oval shape. The outcome exceeded my expectations. Thank you very much

   Waste of money! Paid £45 for full set French tips, to begin with the set took over an hour and a half to complete as staff kept swapping and changing. The tips were very thick and uneven all over. Just wanted to get out of there. A week later they have already chipped at the sides and coming away from my natural nails! The white tips are all chipped too. Won’t be returning.

   I’ve been coming to this salon for years now and wanted to share some pictures of the lovely designs that the team have done for me. I’ve never had a bad experience and the staff are really friendly. The shop does get busy at times so I’d say if you want something that is likely to take a while, you’re better off trying the morning or mid day in the week. As someone who only likes short nails, they do a great job at the different designs I’ve asked for as you can see! Sadly I’ve just relocated so won’t be coming in as often but definitely return when back in Southampton :) lots of love to you!!

   I went in last minute after receptionist at hotel recommended - my hands , in a dreadful state and I was going on a cruise; last minute surprise - the service was really nice and they talked me through and listen to me , gave me what I wanted and I came out from ‘gardeners’ hands to cruise hands - Thankyou - would recommend & prices really reasonable
