I remember this school from ages ago,the food was alright and a lot of the time was pretty fun to be there as I remember doing the lion king parade and I especially enjoyed the weekends and I remembered that we were playing a game of cat and mouse through the forest/hedge and a cat came out of no where and scared one of the gappieβs so bad he fell into a bush of nettles and after school activities where very interesting to do too!.I remember learning how to tie a tie and my passion of rugby of rugby.Though the anti bullying system was not to great and I remember I was bursting for the toilet and I was not able to go to the toilet because of a no toilet rule in the night.but I have fond memories of the place and I wish to go back at one point to see the school! But I have not been there in a while so I have not seen it since about 2015 or 2016? I canβt remember.really bu

My daughter started this term and as new parents who were apprehensive about sending our little darling off to board in a prep school, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We investigated our options thoroughly and the initiatives of the new head, the renewed focus on excellence and the welcoming and nurturing environment swayed us. I understand how change is inevitably difficult for many, but the relentless focus on a fantastic new vision to take the school from just another prep school to one that is best in class has already set this school and our child on a solid footing. The evidence of success is already clear and is everything we could have hoped for. I have spoken to many parents and it's clear that the change management and communication could have been better. This appears to have detracted from the substance of how this school has moved to become an excellent educational establishment. Nevertheless, a huge thank you to Mrs Thorpe and her staff for sticking with the change regardless, even if they could have made the process better on themselves. Most importantly, or child loves the school, her colleagues, the staff, the accommodation, the programmes and most of all, the restaurant-quality food.

We have put three children through Swanbourne (two still there in final years) from Nursery. All have really enjoyed their time and been able to enjoy the variety that Swanbourne offers - fantastic drama and music departments, varied activity and sports programmes with lots of opportunities to find their niche, and good Art and DT, plus the Boarding House is brilliant at gearing them up for the next big step (or just getting a night to yourselves once a week whilst they enjoy time with their friends). Any niggles we may have had (because no school is totally perfect) have always been outweighed by the fact that the children are happy and supported there.

I can only reiterate David's earlier review comments. We went through a horrific experience at Swanbourne and were appalled with the way our son and family were treated when he was in the nursery there. Having left the school, it is now clear to us that there is a severe lack of competence and staff are totally out of their depth when it comes to dealing with any child who does not exactly conform, despite all the rhetoric on their website about what a nurturing and supportive environment they offer! I would urge anyone who is considering Swanbourne to be very cautious indeed, the culture which staff portray on the open mornings is very far removed from the reality in our experience.

After 40 years of involvement with this school and having put four of my own children into Swanbourne' educational system I can honestly say they no longer care for the well being nor educational interest of a child if they do not fit 'their' model of 'a perfect student, even in Yr1! I was always taught to measure ones success by supporting, educating & helping those around you and Swanbourne Trust were too candid in asking our 5yr old to leave without any additional support offered, nor more importantly gave any constructive advice on alternative option with no more then a 'shrug of shoulders'. Some individual teachers I cannot fault but they are up against a board of disinterested heads (despite their recent appointment) and a disinterested board of Trustees. We were given no Ed Pshy report, support plan or an alternative learning plan!
