My son and his dad went for their usual hair cut today as my son sat down one of the guys thought it would be a laugh to comment on my 7 year old sons weight saying ‘ why have you got such a big belly’, I’m absolutely disgusted that a grown man has commented on a child’s weight! Certainly will not be back again, vile.

Wish this could be a zero star review. I’m shocked at the experience I just had and I wasn’t even the customer! My boyfriend went in for a hot towel shave and haircut so I went in alongside him and sat in the designated waiting chairs. At first it was just friendly chat from the guy cutting my boyfriend’s hair. Then the owner joined in just asking the normal conversation questions. “What do you guys do?” “Do you live together” and so on. But then the owner of the shop who joined in started being very misogynistic and it made me and my partner extremely uncomfortable. He was questioning why my partner cooks more and what it is I clean as I said I prefer the cleaning and my partner prefers the cooking. He then started conversing with the barber cutting my bfs hair, still talking about women and how useless they are. A new customer even came in and they were still talking about it. Not professional whatsoever. He also said that he finds it frustrating that he can’t hit his child here (in Scotland) for bad behaviour but back home in Turkey he would be able to. Over all, it was a very uncomfortable situation. My partner didn’t even get a good haircut once it was done, looked the same as what it was before we came in. His hot towel shave was also done terribly, there is still hair on his neck that wasn’t shaved off and parts of his beard are longer in different areas. We will not be back here again.
Is there an option for 0 stars? 20 great British pounds for the worst haircut I think I’ve ever had. I got it 5 hours ago and I’m still in shock and disbelief. The sheer ignorance of the barber, not giving a care in the world, just shaving and cutting to his hearts content. Not just my opinion, been slandered to the point I won’t leave the flat without a hat on because of friends and peers comments.
