   Although clearly this place does a great job for the community and staffed by volunteers I don't know if I've been unlucky but the two times I have phoned, I found the person on the phone to be impatient and bordering on rude. There is someone who answers the phone who is very abrupt and really needs support in being more approachable and friendly. I was trying to donate some furniture and the person acted as if they were doing me a favour in collecting it. When I tried to find out timings for the collection I was told we can't tell you. Not many people can hang about in a vacant flat 40 minutes from where they live waiting for furniture to be collected. Also a black sofa was turned down because in the photo it didn't look clean. I explained it is clean one person lived in the flat and never sat on it. It is only two years old and from Ikea. It is clean perhaps it was a shadow or the pile. I was dismissed. The person didn't even listen. These were good quality items that I could have put on free cycle but thought I could make a contribution to the charity. I almost felt like saying forget it I can do something else with the furniture. Just a change in attitude, to be more friendly and positive would go a long way to improve things.

   I booked a furniture collection due to an upcoming move and arranged for a shelf and sofa to be picked up. I sent in clear photos of both items and was assured that they would be accepted for collection. However, when the team arrived, they unexpectedly refused to take the sofa - even though I had originally purchased it from them just a year ago, and it was in no worse condition than when I received it. This was incredibly frustrating, especially as I had planned around their commitment to collect both items. I relied on their confirmation and was left scrambling to make other arrangements at the last minute. I wouldn’t recommend relying on them if you're on a tight schedule or looking for a dependable collection.

   This place is awesome! I am a BIG believer in buying second hand furniture. It's better for the environment, it's cheaper, it came from a charity so my money is being put towards something good and it costs so little and is generally made much better compared to something that costs 4x something at a charity shop. Me and my boyfriend got an £18 side table and a £20 console/side unit. I couldn't believe the good value! We also got it delivered to us for a small fee of £12. The manager is really helpful and friendly, the drivers who dropped the item off were excellent too. There's a huge range of items and all of them such amazing value! such a cool place with lots of lovely items.

   Best place to buy a cheap to reasonably priced sofa. Has quick turn over of sofas so if you are on the look out pop in weekly. They do discount pricing for those on benefits too which is an extra blessing. The staff are extremely helpful and sometimes rather chatty which makes the place very wholesome. They had a chap there supplying constant stream of repaired second hand children’s bike which are more often good as new for the same price as trashed bikes on facebook marketplace. They put updates on their own facebook page when they get more bikes in. Im sad to have to move away from the south because I wont be able to get things from here anymore. An absolute gem and a real gift to the local community!!

   Checked the opening times and visited shop accordingly. On arrival, I noted a sign on the door stating they were on lunch until 13:15. It was 13:20, so I attempted to open the door but it was locked. Suddenly a very rude man on the other side of the door shouted at me, telling me to "READ THE SIGN". I had read the sign. the issue appeared to be a very rude man who failed to read his watch. Poor attitude, poor customer service. Will never visit here again. Went to St Michael's Hospice instead and they were lovely.

   Although this organisation provides a valuable service to those like me on a low income, they are very arbitary & inconsistent when collecting items; I have bought several things from their store but when they were no longer wanted I offered them back a year or two later (virtually in the same condition) they wouldn't accept them. Considering they stock some very cheap and tatty furniture which they are happy to sell to you this has been deeply frustrating...
