    Very disappointed with our bed and mattress. The drawers in one side of the bed were fitted incorrectly and I took apart and fixed myself. Since then also refitted the legs as that gave way. The mattress has developed a ridge in middle and it drops 6cm on one side and 5cm on other. Feels like mattress has split in middle ( it had split according to their expert and failed in another place as well ). According to customer service this is apparently fine. Waiting for confirmation that this is their final response before taking it to next stage. People on phone are nice but if you are not satisfied with a mattress a couple of months old then I have to say their customer service is not delivering. Read lots of comments online on Facebook and you should really check to see what other customers are saying before purchase.

    We have had two Staples Artisan mattresses from Bensons. Both were proved to have manufacturing faults by their approved inspector from Emmeria. We have today been refunded by Bensons for the costs involved but they have repeatedly refused to refund the initial delivery cost of Β£39.00 stating that as the service was completed, they cannot refund. This whole process has taken nearly sixteen months. Sixteen months of dreadful, painful nights on faulty mattresses, the inconvenience of deliveries and collections, two visits from Emmeria, emails backwards and forwards. The time that I have spent on this with no compensation consideration and the final insult that they refuse to refund the delivery charge for delivering a faulty mattress. I hope they consider the Β£39.00 kept was worth it for yet another bad review of their Company.

    UNHAPPY CUSTOMER REVIEW MATTRESS 15/10/2024 09/10/2024 Problems with new Painton Back care CR Mattress, To who it may concern Since we have taken delivery on the 31st May 2024 there has been a smell coming from within the mattress , We left it to air for the recommended time after the delivery as recommended instructed by Benson for beds , we had noticed that the smell had not reduced at all after a week , we decided to leave it a little longer thinking that it may be Impregnated with some kind of preservative or insect repellent or fire retardant ?, This mattress was purchased in the summer months and I slept with the window to my room left open most nights , My wife would change the bed cloths / sheets etc every week and would leave the mattress to air all day before making the bed up again It has been 5 months to date and the following is a record of my issues and problems, The smell /aroma has been over powering and would fill the bedroom at times and this has had a decremental effect on my sleep and my general health due to the lack of sleep ,On a regular basis I have been suffering with headaches /Trouble breathing /and a severe case of dry mouth with a very bad taste in my mouth all night , The smell is now transferring onto my sleeping cloths and pillows on a regular basis and we have been changing these due to the issue that we have I contacted the complaints department at Bensons Beds and an appointment was made for a visit to our home by a Technician from Emmiera Group ltd on Bensons for beds behalf who Benson for bed employ as a third party , On Wednesday 9th October ,and we were hoping to get this matter resolved as a matter of urgency . If the above issue cannot be resolved then I would have no option other than to approach , The Furniture and Home improvement Ombudsman as my entitlement to do so . 15/10/2024 UPDATE Following a visit by the technician from Emmiera group I am very very unhappy with the method on which the test was carried out the test was carried out using his sense of smell only ? [No other equipment was used ] we all as human beings have different sense’s and this I found very unsuccessful and I was made to feel inadequate and told to give the mattress another two months to allow the mattress to complete its Gass off procedure my comments was as above and I refused to accept his findings and recommendation’s and intend on taking the matter further, I will of course update Trustpilot accordingly please see report below VISIT DETAILS DATE CHECKED: 09/10/2024 TECHNICIAN: APPOINTMENT: 09/10/2024(11:00-15:00) ENVIRONMENT: EXCELLENT CONDITION: GOOD MAINTENANCE: : BATCH LABEL PHOTO: No CUSTOMER AGREES: TIME TAKEN: 40 mins No REPAIRS COMPLETED: No DELIVERY PROCCESS: GOOD Into the home by retailer PRODUCT BOOKLET READ: No Appointment Outcome: Report Only REPORT ACCEPTED: Report Only Reason No INVALID SIGNATURE REFUSED: Report Requested By Client No NOTES: THE 1ST CUSTOMER'S BUILD IS MEDIUM. ISSUES FOUND ISSUE 1 ISSUE CODE: BEDS - INVALID CLAIM TECHNICIAN'S FINDINGS: On arrival, the customer reported that his mattress is giving off a strong odour. LIABILITY EXPLANATION: This is an invalid claim because this is the mattress gassing off. ACTION TAKEN: ITEM: MATTRESS SUB CODE:NON-FAULTY I have inspected the customer complaint. I don't believe that the smell coming from the mattress is any cause for concern as I can only smell this mildly. I have explained to the customer that this is the gassing off and is not deemed a fault and the customer needs to keep airing the room as he states he has been doing. I've advised you to give it a couple more months and the smell should have passed. The customer doesn't accept this explanation and has left some comments. He wishes for the retailer to contact him. Service closed.

    I am blown away by the support I've received in store at Basingstoke Benson's for Beds. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the team, led by Simon, the manager. Maria, the assistant manager, did everything she could to get a mattress recycling sorted for me on the day due to a head office error. I would also like to say thank you for sorting my re-selection so quickly. The customer service given there is above and beyond. Their male colleague also organised having the fire door fixed quickly, so we all stayed safe! I highly recommend the whole team to anyone looking for a new bed, mattress, or accessories.

    I ordered a mattress which was to too soft, Had to wait 40 nights to exchange under the 40 night guarantee. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and arranged everything with no fuss. I then went to my local shop(Basingstoke) explained to them what was going on, picked a firmer mattress, paid the extra and completed everything there on the spot. Can't fault Benson for Bed at all, service was great all round. Well done and thank you.

    The whole experience was extremely good from entering the store to leaving with an order in our hands. When we explained what we wanted Maria was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional guiding us to various options without being pushy at all. She answered all our questions without hesitation and clearly knew exactly what she was talking about.
