Great stuff as usual. Picked up some beers (decent price) & some big prawns. Yummy!

Visited Lidl today and had a really unpleasant encounter with one of the staff members (edit: store manager!!). A walkway was obstructed with a pallet truck and a full pallet of stock. I tried to move it slightly to get past and was immediately told off quite aggressively. The "big boss" then started giving me a lecture about using the pump truck, raising his voice and acting extremely bossy and rude. There was no need for that kind of attitude towards a customer who was just trying to get through safely. The man was power-hungry, self-important, and completely lacking in basic people skills. He raised his voice, spoke down to me, and acted like he was trying to prove a point rather than help a customer. If this is the store manager, he seriously needs some training in how to speak to people. Completely unprofessional behaviour and a very poor reflection on Lidl’s customer service. Won’t be returning to that store anytime soon.

It's a nice large store to do the monthly shopping. Well stocked and tidy. However it's a disgrace to limit the parking to 90 minutes. I have asked in store knowing that I overstayed due to the large shopping. They said I need to deal with the parking agency. Really?! So now I have to spend my time to do the appeal. Forget that. I won't be shopping here again. Lidl has to have a better option for customers who overstay due to long shopping times.

Love the special buys they have in Lidl. The XXL range is great value and the themes of the week are pretty good as you get to try things that other supermarkets dont ever have in. This new store in burton is magnificent compared to the old one. The bakery is great value and again lots of options you dont get at other places. Love the pretzels and the new pretzel bread rolls. The offers on the app are sometimes worth using.

Lovely supermarket. Some customer service issues. Excellent fresh vegetables. No blaring music so a relaxing shopping experience. A little attention may be needed to monitor queues building up at the tills aka to direct staff a little quicker to open tills. Baskets need washing a little more often as there is often residue on the base of them. Amazing fresh flowers.

A great range of stock just slow it down a bit on the tills cowboy stuff was falling off the bagging area, do these guys get paid by the item or customer. It's just as well I fancied an omelette, there wasn't anybody in the queue behind me & there wasn't many in the store.

Avoid like the plague .No humans manning the tills . I dont do self service so ditched the basket and left. This has been highlighted in other reviews from months ago so obviously pay no attention to bad reviews

A quick visit to get a couple of things that they didn't have at Aldi (basics like frozen sweetcorn for example). Lidl always seems pretty quiet but it is clean and easy to get round, perhaps lacking in some items like Vegan/ Vegetarian but there were some signs of improvement this time. It doesn't seem quite as well priced as Aldi but with their prices creeping up, it is worth keeping an eye on. Overall a decent shop.

I'll never be returning. The two security guards stood and watched myself and two young sons struggle to get our food to the car. It was my fault I'd forgotten a token for the trolley I asked to borrow a basket with wheels just to take to my car which was directly outside the door but I was told no. We'd spent over £80 and I explained how heavy our shopping was and I was just told "not my problem" they could have at least offered to help us carry something or get us a trolley instead they stood there smirking and chatting whilst watching us struggle. Absolutely disgusting. Plus as other people have said they're always missing stock. I've noticed this on a few occasions and ended up having to pop to Tesco straight after. Should have stuck with Tesco anyway as I didn't really save any money at Lidl and at least when I've been to Tesco I've never left feeling the way I did after leaving Lidl. The staff are actually helpful in Tesco and wouldn't see you struggle.
