1 person on main checkouts, 15 full trolleys waiting to check out, self checkout ques 4 trolleys. Spoke to staff who called manager who couldn’t believe the situation, called out to all staff and 3 staff and manager put on checkout. A situation that should never have happened but kept dos to manager who sorted it out. Card readers were having issues too.

In my personal experience, prices at the Burton-on-Trent Morrisons feel noticeably higher than in other shops, especially for Christmas shopping. I also found the app offer of β€œΒ£20 off when you spend Β£200” disappointing, as it’s split into four separate Β£50 weekly spends, which doesn’t feel worthwhile to me. I’ve also felt that the staff aren’t as friendly as in other supermarkets I visit. At times I personally felt judged or uncomfortable, as though I was being talked about. For example, when I declined to donate to charity at the till, the response I received felt sarcastic. I’ve donated to charity and done voluntary work myself, so it felt unfair to be judged for not giving in that moment. On another occasion, I found a piece of blue fabric in my buns from the bakery, which left me cautious about their food hygiene. Overall, I haven’t been happy with the value, atmosphere, or cleanliness compared to other places.

Jane, Julie & Shannon. Wow. You clearly all genuinely care about the customers and enjoy your jobs. The food for my little boys party was cancelled on the day of his party due to the bank not allowing the payment to go out. I called the main customer services who got the store customer service manager to call me back. She took the time to listen, wrote down my complete order again, go round the shop with a trolley and do the complete shop for me, then called me back when she’d done it to let me know it was ready to collect and pay for. Many others would have just left it because it wasn’t their problem. On collection, the ladies met me at the till, helped me pack AND Shannon came to the car with me to help load it all up. All of them aware of how little time I had before the party and wanted to get it sorted. Honestly can’t thank them all enough! Fairy GodMothers!

What can I say. Typical Morrisons. Historically I would have been candid and point out how scruffy and poor it is, but Morrisons finally seem to be spending some of their profits and revamping all stores. New lighting, new freezers, even new tarmac in the car parks. Now you feel like you can actually see the food due to the lighting and parking the car doesn’t need a 4x4 to traverse the legacy terrain.

Great store with helpful and friendly staff. Nice as it's not too busy and there is plenty of free parking. The cafe is fantastic and and the salad bar, bakery and rotisserie are also on top form. There is always plenty of staff around and always happy to help. The stock all items as bigger stores, even though its not the biggest store.

Isles upon isles of trash chemical-laden products, getting basic products not stuffed with preservatives (humus, anyone?), some sourdough bread or reasonably aromatic vegetables is an impossible dream here. Prices higher than in other supermarkets. One manned point of sale in the huge store with a long queue now, I'm here on Saturday afternoon. Apart from a convenient location I can't think of a good reason anyone would want to do shopping here.

5 stars for the Morrisons cafe! Compared to other Morrison cafes we have visited across the country, this was the best! Contemporary and clean cafe, great prices, welcoming members of staff, and very yummy food. I recommend the Ultimate Breakfast with a coffee - it is the best way to start the day. We visit Burton to see family and friends and will definitely be returning to this cafe when we are back in the area.

They've changed the layout slightly so my favourite items were now in different aisles. it wasn't too much of an issue and it's nice to see change from time to time. Shelves are fully stocked in the run up to Christmas albeit slightly expensive. I hate the Morrisons app as discounts are not always applied and I end up spending more money than I have to

Full of customers trying to find items they want. Need to check prices very carefully, prices shown don't automatically apply. Checkouts are updated before shelves. Improvements in car park are good. Overall prices are satisfactory.
