   Absolutely shocking place AVOID. I paid nearly £400 for a block of facials at this spa, only to be repeatedly let down by constant cancellations. The final straw came when I had a scheduled facial, only to get a text on the morning of the appointment from Doris, the owner, stating she was unwell with a kidney infection and needed rest. However, when I called the spa to reschedule my facial, her husband Michael and co-owner informed me Doris was actually in a waxing appointment with another client at that very moment. I later found her very much present at the spa, in uniform, and her lunch sitting in the fridge completely contradicting the story I was told. When I attempted to get a refund, Doris was dismissive, gaslighting the entire situation and projecting blame rather than taking any accountability. It’s clear she had no intention of honouring the facial package, and instead appears to be focused on taking money upfront and prioritising new customers over existing ones. The treatments themselves are average if that, not remotely worth the stress, deception, and loss of money. I will never return and urge others to avoid this place and read the reviews if you don’t want to be scammed. Totally unprofessional and dishonest.

   It's taken me months to write this review! This person should be questioned about the way she thinks it's acceptable to treat customers. Everything others have said is true ad more!! She shouldn't be allowed to be in business!! Awful, dirty and a lot more. Where ever she has moved too, stay away!

   Been going to doris for 4 years for waxing and she’s been so quick and reliable. Had my first lymphatic drainage massage today, she’s like a plastic surgeon I can’t believe the difference after one treatment will definitely be getting the block!

   This magical other wordly woman will forever be renamed - ‘Doris The Magic Lady.’ I do not recommend hesitating to book with her, she WILL be headhunted, mark my words. She is THAT good. I attended Doris for 10 sessions of 3 Energy Lymphatic Drainage, I paid for this as a package after the wonderful advice of Doris that this first 5 sessions would help me heal after surgery and with swelling, and the next 5 would aid in sculpting and making sure everything goes to where is should and myyyyyyyy goodness, she has changed my body and my outlook. We have such a lovely time laughing together I honestly can see me being a long term loyalist for life now. The benefits are incredible. My reasons were for post op care and also my well-being, reduce water weight and nerve pain from my genetic nerve disease, Doris has eradicated a lot of my daily aches and pains and I honestly get so hyped up when it’s appointment day - I just love her warm welcome and her warm energy. Might I add I drive over 2hrs twice a week as she is ‘The One' ladies and gentlemen. She is a rare gem in the north of Scotland and I don’t think I’ve ever met a more lovely human.

   I'm surprised at the bad reviews here. My partner has been here several times and has had no complaints. She has had waxes and facial treatments, and has always raved about Doris and the staff. We have today just had a pre wedding treatment, massage, facial and scrub. Also a manicure. Doris and her colleague stayed late to finish our treatment, not just 5 minutes, but well over half an hour. Not once were we made to feel rushed, or that they wanted us to leave. The treatment was fantastic, and I look forward to our next. In regards to a previous reviewer, I was also in the treatment room next to reception. Whilst being pampered from head to toe, and listening to the relaxing music; I can't say that I noticed the chatter or the phone. My focus was on relaxing, and I can assure you I did just that.

   Received vouchers for Christmas and at first was relieved that being new to town I found a spa I liked. I am a loyal customer when greeted with good service and was happy with my shellac by front reception. It was not until I booked a wax that I became unhappy with how I was treated by person who I later learned was the owner. The first session she left 2 times to get supplies and I was walked in on by esthetician who did not know room was occupied and once she left mid-session so that meant door was open while I was in vulnerable position. She made apologies but last straw was when I was told that she wasn't making profit in me on my wax job and would charge me extra £5. I said it was not fair to do it his treatment as she only announced after I received the wax. I did not find a spa to attend in meantime so went again. She raised the price AGAIN and when I went to use my 15% discount loyalty points on the treatment she arbitrarily said I could not. When I told her I become dissatisfied she did not seem to mind. Will not be using Zen Spa again and hope the other staff whose service I did enjoy are treated better than I have been.

   Just had another fabulous visit to Zen Spa, this time for a facial. Treatment, as usual, was excellent. Doris and her staff are all very friendly and efficient and I am always made to feel very welcome. The spa environment is very modern and relaxing and it is in an ideal location in the city centre. Doris has monthly special offers with great deals for various spa packages. I took advantage of this a couple of months ago and had a prescriptive facial, full body exfoliation, back massage and shellac nails for only £55! It was heaven! I would definitely recommend Zen Spa and I am really looking forward to my next visit! Keep up the good work girls!

   Zen Spa is the best place to go in Aberdeen if you want to have a relaxing and fabulous treatment experience! It's very easy to get to and is beautifully decorated to the highest standard. The staff are wonderful and will do anything to make you feel at home. Doris the owner is so dedicated, caring and professional. She is extremely passionate about her customers and business and will go out of her way to ensure that you have the very best of service. So, if you want to go for the wow experience then visit Zen Spa. You will NOT be disappointed!
