My experience at Frimley Park Hospital was mixed. On the positive side, many of the doctors, nurses, and support staff were professional, caring, and clearly working very hard under pressure. When seen, the medical care itself was reassuring, and staff did their best to explain things and provide treatment. However, waiting times were quite long, and at times communication could have been better, especially around delays and next steps. The hospital can feel very busy, which sometimes impacts organisation and patient flow. Some areas could also benefit from updates and clearer signage to make visits less stressful. Overall, the hospital provides good care, but there is room for improvement in efficiency and communication. With better organisation and reduced waiting times, the experience could be much better.

Great all round service from the Ambulance crew, A&E Dept Staff & the doctors & nurses on Acute Medic Unit, And also good service from all the staff on F16 ward & CT Dept, Xray Dept & Staff & Doctors on Outpatients 5 ward. I've been looked after so well over the last 5 days. Thanks to everyone that took care of me ♥️♥️

I had a needle stick accident and despite explaining to 111 that I had completed the appropriate first aid and the needles were mine, the lady asked me to go to A&E in the next hour. She insisted. To say I was alarmed is an understatement. Note this is 2am. So I get to the hospital (my first time at an A&E) and I pleasantly surprised. The entrance is well lit and with clear signage and checking in at reception was speedy (they were courteous and efficient and had all my details from 111), they also took the time to update my details. The triage was also quick, efficient and the nurse was courteous. The waiting area was clean and clear and comfortable. When I finally saw the doctor, he said I came in for nothing. The risk was zero, I had taken the right steps and there was no additional help/support he could provide. To say I was upset is an understatement. Not at the doctor, but the 111 team who sent me there. Additionally, the reason I had no complaints and chalked it up to one of life’s detours, was I arrived at the hospital around 4:30am and was out by 5:30am. In A&E! I’ve had longer waits at my GP! I know this is anomaly for emergency departments but the team is efficient so it helps a lot. Now we just need 111 to stop wasting resources by sending people without urgent conditions to A&E!

I would like to say a big thank you to the Day Surgery team for looking after me so well. The nurses and doctors were absolutely brilliant. The team in the procedure room were especially kind and really put me at ease — I couldn’t have asked for better care. I received truly first-class service. Once again, a heartfelt thank you to the entire Day Surgery team.

Frimley Park Hospital – Emergency Department (27th August 2025): A Deeply Distressing Experience On 27th August 2025, I attended Frimley Park Emergency Department with what was clearly an allergy-related emergency. As anyone who has lived with or treated allergies knows, such conditions can deteriorate rapidly and demand prompt medical attention. Arriving at 4:30 am, I was quickly seen by the nurse and was given one more antihistamine. I did mention that i already had two of 180 mg of prescribed Fexofenadine 180 mg tablets in last 6 hours. They still gave me another antihistamine and asked me to wait in the emergency waiting room. I was been told that the waiting would be "just an hour". They left me waiting for over four and half hours without being seen. During that time, there was no meaningful communication, no reassurance, and no sense of urgency. I had approached the emergency reception to understand if I am still on the waiting list. The answer that I got was "we are busy" without any apologetic In the end, exhausted and frustrated, I had no choice and had made a decision to leave the hospital untreated and still in need of care, and still at risk. Eventually, I was seen at 08:45 am and been asked to wait for additional time. The solution after the wait was to give me stronger antihistamine. This experience was not just disappointing; it was deeply distressing. To sit for hours in an emergency department, vulnerable and anxious, and to be effectively ignored, left me feeling that my health and safety simply did not matter. It is difficult to put into words the frustration of seeking urgent help, only to walk away unseen. Emergency departments exist for moments exactly like this. They are meant to offer a safety net when conditions can escalate without warning. On this occasion, that safety net was not there. Instead, I experienced what felt like a breakdown of triage, compassion, and basic duty of care. I would urge the leadership of Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, including the Chief Executive and Medical Director, to reflect seriously on this failure. Questions must be asked: How could an allergic emergency be left unattended for so long? What processes failed that day? Most importantly, what changes will be made to ensure no other patient leaves your emergency department untreated and unseen in similar circumstances? I am sharing this not out of bitterness, but out of genuine concern. If this can happen to me, it can happen to anyone — and next time, the outcome could be far more tragic. Frimley Park Hospital, this should be a moment of reckoning. Lives depend on the systems you run and the culture you create. On 27th August 2025, those systems and that culture failed me completely. Everyone working at this hospital is doing their absolute best in an impossible situation. I've been with a family member to A&E a few times over the last few months, and although the wait times are long, the staff there show an immense level of care and dedication, despite the fact they must all be exhausted. Thank you!

The staff at the MRI department are wonderful. They went out bod their way to accompany my daughters after an admin mix-up with the surgeons rooms. Super friendly and extremely helpful.

In desperate need of a new car park! Backed up on to round about, making it impossible to park. And pretty expensive. Luckily most staff are very understanding when your late for appointments. Some of the sonographers on antenatal ward could do with training on not being so rude. Other than that, lovely hospital,

Just come home from a two day stay in Frimley Park Hospital Short Stay Ward. I had to have a hysterectomy due to a large fibroid. Literally cannot praise this hospital and their staff enough, from my surgeon to housekeeping, everyone is absolutely brilliant! This is the second time my surgeon Miss Deans has operated on me, the last time was around 17 years ago. Both times she has completely changed my life. She’s an absolutely wonderful woman amazing at her job and such a lovely person, very caring. I feel very lucky to have Frimley Park Hospital as my local hospital I have been to others and they’ve not been anywhere near is nice. I am a very big fan of the NHS and even was before it was fashionable! We are very lucky in this country. So thank you to all the staff at Frimley Park for taking care of me so well, fixing my problems and making me feel like I was your only patient, what wonderful people you are xxx
