Inefficient GP practice, unpleasant and manipulative staff at times and is getting worse. Doctor-patient confidentiality is non-existent due to receptionists running the surgery in an open plan building! If you don’t talk openly to them about your problems which you are supposed to tell GP in private, they simply block your access to care & GP. When you visit GP, he is clueless why you came for a visit. You wonder I spent 10 min explaining all my problems to the receptionist last week who allegedly made notes. The building was recently refurbished and is modern, but there is lack of care towards patients at all levels. GPs are not attentive to patient records and needs, they often re-iterate basic NHS/Google information to patients, appointments are always late up to 50 min of extra waiting time. You have to make an appointment to discuss each health topic/issue separately when they could be connected as it is One Patient body. If you complain about their mistakes in the documents, negligence in reviewing ECG or diagnosis and lack of proper treatment or non-referrals, they make internal blacklisting records about patients being allegedly rude when no rude language was ever used. I never had a bruise and so much pain in years after the blood test as I did here. There are now two tiers of menus when you call in and too much of automated messaging to listen to. They just test to the limit everyone’s health condition and patience by not doing what they should be doing.

This used to be a great surgery, but since COVID, the quality has sharply declined. It's now nearly impossible to get an appointment, and patients are being pushed to use a poorly designed app instead. This place could serve as a case study in how to turn a well-functioning practice into a frustrating experience. The current management seems completely disconnected from patient care.

Impossible to get hold of anyone now that they've rolled out the new Evergreen app as a method of requesting appointments. Significant reduction in communication options.

I would just like to say recently I've had to speak with the receptionist on quite a few occasions and in the past I have had rude and not very helpful receptionist. But kim who works at the surgery has been very helpful with appointments and with giving helpful advice lovely to have a good happy receptionist who is good at her job.

Fantastic surgery. Friendly and helpful receptionists and secretaries. Excellent doctors and nurses. Like all surgeries it takes a while to get through on the phone in the mornings, however you have the option of having a call back when you are near the front of the queue, which is so helpful as you can get on with other things and wait for the call. Lots of info on line and you are able to book and cancel appointments online which is very convenient. When I've contacted them via the website I have always got a response. Would definitely recommend this surgery.

Communication seems very poor now. It was previously pretty good a few years ago. I could get no sense from messaging about flu or covid boosters the web site was not clear and still have not received anything in relation to this. In the end I had to just go elsewhere. I no longer have much faith in them. My son and daughter have also had major issues with them.

I’m aware of how difficult it is to get through to this GP so took necessary steps to try get through the process early, I stayed up from 7am and called immediately at 8am and was relieved to hear that I am number 1 in the queue. After waiting 2-minutes the phone was picked up as I heard their background noise and immediately dropped on me. I had to call back straight away just to hear I was now 21st in the queue. Very disrespectful and I know if cctv footage was to be reviewed on call handling you would mostly likely catch the negligent behaviour multiple times. Disregardful and pathetic from whom ever acted in this manner.

Unfortunately a similar experience to other reviewers - I find the doctors to be kind, supportive and sensitive to the issue at hand - when you are able to actually see or speak to them. Some of the reception staff at this practice are incredibly rude and officious - after I had had covid and was suffering with longer term side effects, I was consistently fobbed off by a receptionist despite being in so much pain I was crying on the phone. My husband was asked to attend a telephone appointment for a lump - totally pointless when it is a physical ailment and clearly would need a face to face appointment. Finally as a first time mum to be, I called to make the necessary arrangements only to be told I was wrong to call them and should have gone to the midwife team, was given their number and then the phone put down - not sure how I was supposed to know I shouldn't call the doctors given I've never been pregnant before? The receptionist triaging system doesn't work I'm afraid and I've really lost a lot of faith in the surgery as a result of the above experiences.

Excellent doctors and nursing staff, attentive, informative and reassuring. It's pot luck with the receptionists, many are fantastic but one or two are dismissive, rude and extremely unhelpful. The most disappointing are the pharmacists, at least 50% of the time an error is made on one of our repeat prescription orders with medications missing or wrong. Simply unacceptable.
