I attended the Xmas party night last with a group of friends. The positives are the food was good and Marc Bolton was excellent. However we were all so crammed in to the dining area in the room upstairs it was absolutely ridiculous. Too many tables, hard to move between tables or to get out. Even the young waiters were struggling. The low ceilings seem to amplify the noise too. Having been to the old venue a number of times i was looking forward to attending the new venue. It doesn’t work for me, i think they’ve lost some of the magic and i would not go again to an event night.

We had the best service for our kiddies here! The waiter (sorry, I forgot his name) went above and beyond — he even sat at our table and really took the time to include the kids, speaking to them directly and making them feel so special. Our visit was incredibly enjoyable and memorable. Everyone was laughing and having fun, and the food was absolutely delicious! We’ll definitely be coming back.

I took my mum here for her birthday because the pictures and the reviews made it seem like this would be a great choice. How wrong was I, literally hands down the worst food I've ever eaten, I'm not even exaggerating. For starters, the house pate, was not a pate, it was a fish sauce (gross), the mushrooms came out on soft bread, not toast, which is just weird. For mains, my wife's steak came out literally still mooing, so she sent it back and it came back covered in salt, so she didn't eat it. They said they'd sort something out on the bill and only knocked off £5 from an inedible £25 steak, what a joke. All of the chips on everyone's meal were overly salty and chewy, I mean how do you get chewy chips. After eating our mains, 3 of the 7 people at our table had stomach pains. It took about 30 minutes for someone to allow me to pay for the bill and they didn't seem to care that much that we were unhappy with the food. We will never be going back here ever, I'd sooner eat food out of the gutter.

On arrival to the Jennings rooms we were greeted by staff and shown to our table that we had literally booked 10 minutes prior to our arrival. The restaurant was pretty full and busy. The food smelled absolutely amazing. We had ordered the beef Sunday lunch and a pudding. The food and service was amazing. We will definitely be back soon. S&P

What a great venue. We travelled down from Yorkshire for our Aunty's 80th birthday celebrations. We had the carvery, but the main menu was also available. The food was FANTASTIC, and we couldn't recommend the Jennings Rooms enough. Also, it is a great venue for weddings and other celebrations. Also the staff were fantastic the guy serving at the carvery is a great character all the staff are excellent.

Very good carvery served. Entertainment wasn't as advertised due to unforeseen circumstances but the replacement singer/comedian put on a very good show for everyone. Beer and wine prices were reasonable.

Having driven by the Jennings rooms on many occasions and not really knowing what it was. I was recommended by a friend to try it out, well tonight was the night, we had a 2 course meal and it was really good, great value, wine reasonably priced and the hosts were very friendly. They do breakfast, lunches and special themed nights and also a lovely venue for a wedding, very impressed and will definitely return Thank you
