I've been here for many years. Now I get told I have a personality disorder and they can only treat this with therapy. Now on a course 2 hrs a week telling me to take deep breaths etc. No help, not interested. I think they just want me to die.

Have a brew have a bath like ok let’s do this oh brilliant done that depression and anxiety gone haha just as simple as that You ring let them you feeling su•••dal yep get told put your head in a bowl of cold water or do some star jumps I wish it was that easy Every time I’ve had an appointment here I’ve ended up ringing the crisis team after I’ve left because they put you in an even bigger crisis Or maybe it’s one less patient to deal with

Update, I would much sooner trust postman pat then these people. Told I need a ECG before I change my meds, had ECG, can I get the results? No heck I can't. Apparently recieving it after I've changed meds is completely fine. 'm sharing this for anyone else who might of experienced similar, your not alone, and it's not your fault. I attended for an assessment today, i started to feel incredibly overwhelmed 10 minutes in, I asked to step outside for a breather to calm down, the reply from the assessor was we have only just started, I felt obligated to justify why, from then on I felt powerless.I was told in exactly these words 'I'm surprised you hadn't mentioned this earlier', over a symptom I'm experiencing. I was treated as if had done something wrong, again later on he told me I needed to go back to the doctor's, he was surprised over the length of time I was on medication and the effectiveness of it, again incredibly unhelpful and triggering as I've fought for what I am on. Later on I requested I wanted to see a psychiatrist after being told initially I needed 'healthy minds' He said no problem, if he had told me before this was an option it would of reduced some of the upset. I explained after how I was feeling towards the experience why and a better way of doing it. I was told I'm sorry, but it's over now it's ok. I complained to another two staff members over this and over previous experience of the community mental health team, to be told my previous experience was wrong of CMA , as they don't use scales so the rating that was on my report couldn't be true, and that my feelings and perspectives of my experience of the assessment were not right, really this had happened it was because we were trying to help you. I have issues because I grew up in an environment where I was constantly gas lighted. I re-experienced this today in a place where there should be understanding and compassion.

Absolutely disgusting individuals who don’t care about any of there patients they rather argue and make you more ill than actually helping. No one who works here cares the head psychiatrist has a god complex and thinks she knows everything and won’t do anything to actually help honestly avoid this place like the plague. No one is on the same page and all are there to have a laugh and a joke these peoples licences need reviewing and the service need a whole shake up they are all to comfortable the only decent people there are the health care assistances

I am currently seeing a psychologist to help me with mental health problems I am trying to overcome. I have had the same lady for the past two sessions there and she has been absolutely amazing and so very helpful to me. The whole place is spotless and the receptionist on signing in was very friendly and did make me feel calm. Just wanted pass on my positive past two experiences at the centre. Thank you very much for everything you have done to help me so far. Jon

I can report positive changes and a care plan presented to me in a timely fashion by the Secretaries. I had a video appointment with a lovely Doctor who was interested in me and not about the meds I take. I even got my next appointment through the post this morning. Thanks to everybody in getting the information to the GP double quick.

If you have Depression and Mental Health issues, please avoid this. The Doctors have no idea what they are doing and nor are they interested, the Doctor messed around with my Medication and put my life in Danger by prescribing a Antidepressant knowing full well it was not to be taken with Epilepsy as I have Epilepsy and take Epilepsy Medications. Since the change in my Medications, my Mental Health has Detoriated rapidly and wanting to kill myself, I have stopped Eating and have no strength to carry on anymore. Pleaded for help but apparently they have no Doctors. I don't think I will be alive for much longer but these Authorities have failed me and I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place unless you want to die because they are excellent in pushing Vulnerable Adults battling Severe Depression and Anxiety to kill themselves. Shocking and very unhelpful mental health service. My review is due to being discharged from the service without any notice, leaving me to be left with no medication for nearly two weeks currently. I was withdrawn from the service due to missing telephone appointments (which yes is wrong on my behalf) but could not be helped as they always rescheduled my appointments, being 3 times once, leaving me to eventually forget what date it was, and that’s meant to be fully my fault? And when mentioning this to the team, and the fact they’ve made this decision without sending me a letter or calling me first and leaving me with no medication, all I heard was “yes I understand” and “I’m sorry” but that’s meant to justify purposely leaving a young adult with no medication to treat their poor mental health whose been at your service for over 2 years. Honestly, I think it’s disgusting and no wonder it’s rated 1 star on google. Which tells me other people have experienced the same anger and frustration as me.

I was told that the waiting list for therapy is about a year and a half. She said I could be transferred back to primary mental health care (wellbeing) which would have shorter waiting times, but that my case might be too severe and I could just be transferred straight back to secondary. When I said I couldn't wait that long she simply told me "that's just how the system works". In what world am I in a place to wait a YEAR AND A HALF for treatment if i'm "too severe" to be seen by the wellbeing team. I also have rung up 4 times asking them to pass on a message to my psychiatrist over the course of two months, and the message still hasn't been passed on. Apart from my psychiatrist, nobody here listens to me or follows up with what they say they're going to do

I was receiving care from Healthy Minds, which I waited over a year for. Great and friendly people, they suspected something was going on with me, more along the sinister lines. My care with them came to a halt as they believed they couldn't provide me with the higher care I needed. So I got referred to this centre, for secondary care. I had to wait a long time, to just receive an assessment. They completely dismissed everything I said, and said they wont do anything for me until I've tried every type of medication, because someone with a condition would have done that first before going to them. And the fact I wouldn't be working if I had a serious illness despite that being something I HAVE to do to NOT be homeless. It is not something I want to do. It has been far from easy and has only made me worse. So after explaining my situation, again. Very hard to talk about situations, they dismissed my case after this and told me to talk to my GP about medication. That's all the support I am getting. I practically begged them for help, I have been in need for a long time coming. And thought I would finally get the support I needed. My family are thankful everyday that I am here.
