Can't beleive the Government/HMC use these solicitors to settle claims (then again I can, becuase its the government) - I'm owed money after winning in slam claims court against a local authority. I'm now 5 days after the legal settlement date has passed and I still don't have my money. Chasing, calling, emailing, an utter disgrace

If I could rate them in negative stars, I would. This is not just incompetence — it’s outright negligence, dishonesty, and corporate cowardice masquerading as a legitimate service. In October 2024, their operatives caused significant structural damage to my garden wall by recklessly yanking a heavy bin over the railing, destroying it entirely. They never rang the bell, never reported the damage, and simply fled. Since then, I’ve endured seven months of evasive communication, deliberate delays, and sham investigations orchestrated by their legal representatives. Their "independent report" is a joke — littered with inaccuracies, including spelling my name wrong, and based on pure speculation. They’ve completely ignored a witness statement from a neighbour who saw the incident happen in real time. Instead, they’ve fabricated laughable theories involving “vandals” and “schoolchildren” despite the incident occurring at 6am on a weekday. They have not investigated — they have stonewalled, gaslit, and stalled. The emotional toll this has taken on me and my family is considerable. Elderly and disabled relatives have been unable to safely access the front garden for months. I have spent countless hours chasing them, compiling evidence, and demanding basic accountability. Every response from them has been engineered to exhaust, not resolve. They are a case study in how corporate contractors weaponise delay and deflection to avoid liability. They have no interest in truth, no concern for the safety or wellbeing of the public, and absolutely no respect for the damage they cause — physical or emotional. If you are a council considering awarding them a contract, think very carefully. And if you are a private citizen reading this — protect your home. Because if they break something, they’ll do everything in their power to make sure you’re the one left paying for it.

As a bus driver I had someone change lane and hit the back of the bus. This was back in 2022. Now in December 2024 I'm being asked to fill a questionnaire concerning the collision. Obviously car driver trying to make a claim even though no personal injury and damage was minor. Having read the reviews it is clear to me that they are not well represented. I find it fascinating that companies like this are allowed to even exist. Three words of advise to anyone wanting to have these people represent them. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Are they even a legit company or just a department designed to prevent Veolia from having to pay for damage they regularly cause to people's personal vehicles. Never contacted me back and when I finally got hold of them, they said that they were "waiting for me to provide evidence"! Their driver, who hit our stationary car denied all knowledge so we are now stuck paying for the bill. This company is definitely not independent.

Utterly incompetent, pointless and time-wasters. Veolia damaged our property over 7 months ago. Have heard nothing from Strata. Every time I chase (about every week to 2 weeks) I am informed the case is being escalated. In despair I asked for the name of head of complaints one Isabel Haynes. They said they take complaints seriously (ha) and she would absolutely ring me back that day 24th March 2023. Still waiting. Avoid this solicitor at all costs.

AWFUL COMPANY.... A ROYAL MAIL VAN HIT MY FIAT 500 WAY BACK IN SEPTEMBER AND IT IS NOW MARCH AND NO SIGN OF ANY REPAIRS BEING MADE AND NO CONTACT MADE FOR MONTHS DESPITE ME CHASING...

Not good, a royal mail van hit mine and they accepted liability but once this company takes over the reigns on Royal Mails behalf the problems begin, they constantly look for ways not to settle the claim you have to pay for the repairs out of your own pocket and once you have done that and send them the receipts they then supposedly pay, trouble is i am still waiting and chasing them up so either they are on some sort of commission to try and get out of paying or are simply really poor at there jobs will give it a couple more days then i will have to start proceedings against them.

if i could leave 0 stars i would, reading all the other reviews.. its basically the exact same experience ive had. Hit by a royal mail van who drove off.. had witnesses, ring doorbell footage etc etc, 4 months later and they haven't contacted me once.. its just me chasing pointlessly every week and getting nowhere. Awful, awful service

A word of warning for anyone who has received a letter from this firm after an accident: They will offer you their services in exchange for you not involving your insurance company. You are under no obligation to accept these services. Their primary responsibility is to their client, which in my case was Royal Mail, and they will seek to reduce costs to their client i.e. they will not be acting in your interests. They were very helpful when they first got in touch but then refused to speak to me once my insurers were involved - even to answer simple questions when they had not responded to my insurers. My claim was handled by Auxillis and they were really great. It took a month for the process in total and 2 weeks for Strata to pay out after Auxillis had sent the engineer's report writing off my vehicle. When chatting to Auxillis one of their customer services agents said they get a lot of people who are hit by firms like Royal Mail, don't want to tell their insurance because they're worried about their premiums going up, so engage with firms like Strata but soon find the value of their vehicle is undercut, courtesy car difficult to arrange etc. I've just added a replacement vehicle to my policy with the no-fault claim on there too and the difference in cost is marginal. Moral of the story, always go through your insurers (or their appointed no-fault claim service like Auxillis) to make sure you get the best deal, especially if the damage is extensive and the car may be written off.
