    Good atmosphere to experience an opera with rural vibes. I enjoyed Mozart's “Mitridate, re di Ponto” so much in 2023. In comparison with Glyndebourne which is preceding in summer opera in suburb, they need to improve management. For instace, they failed to pick up us at High Wycombe Station because the taxi was too small, though we made reservation to ride from and to the staition in advance through their web site. Missed Glyndebourne's perfect hospitality. Interestingly they are trying to involve local high school students as programme book-selling staffs, drink-serving staffs at the bar. Need to cultivate younger generation who are intereted with operas.

    An excellent experience on an almost perfect day, (a warm day is probably not the best time to be wearing a DJ and bowtie, but dress code is important here). Catering and service impeccable, and I thoroughly enjoyed the opera, "The Queen of Spades" by Tchaikovsky.

    Great performance of Barber of Seville. Fantastic seats, close to stage could see facial expressions and comic timing. Very professional event. Not cheap. Was a present for us.

    Garsington was the home of Ottoline Morell, British aristocratic society hostess of the early 20th c. She had many famous lovers and friends. The house still stands but is private. There is a purpose built venue hosting the occasional musical entertainment. Worth the visit, about 30 miles outside London.
