   I was in for scheduled surgery this week and cannot state how awful this hospital is. The parking can be bad and not helped by parking machines only taking cash which realistically a lot of people don’t carry £20 day surgery money on them perhaps the odd pound coins. The hospital is a total maze with poor directions but helpful staff who clearly deal with this all daylong. Entering the day surgery clinic the floors had used tissue on them and clearly not washed. I decided to use the toilet but on opening the door the toilet was covered in poo and a used adult nappy thrown on the side. Absolutely disgusting. The other 3 people with me also complained. No way was I risking surgery in this standard of cleanliness. An elderly lady had been there for 3 days and was left in her dress sleeping and unwashed until day 3. I don’t need to say any more! Staff were hoping for a new hospital being built as promised but this government has let them down this Winchester hospital is left to a state of disrepair. Only thing I can say is the staff were friendly.

   I found A&E and Northbrook Ward very caring and professional. Both times we went there was no delay in being seen. The doctor was very thorough and the nurses friendly and caring. I don't know what Winchester would do without the A&E department and other wards! Thank you!

   This posting in on behalf of my wife June. We had the requirement to attend the A&E today 14/03, following GP advice. What a service we received, exceptional in every way from the moment we arrived until a resolution was delivered. Brilliant, service from all the staff involved, very supportive and determined to assist and deliver the best quality care possible. We cannot praise them enough Fantastic - Thank you. - RV

   Have had a total knee replacement which all went well until today when I was ready to go home and it started bleeding and wouldn't stop meaning another night's stay! The care I have received throughout my stay has been brilliant, absolutely no complaints, and nothing but praise for everyone, in particular, Gabriel and all the ladies in Physiotherapy. Thank you to everyone.

   My wife has been 'blue lighted' into the RHCH on two occasions during the past month and has been in hospital a total of 20 days. We have nothing but praise for the call handlers and paramedics who got her into hospital so quickly. The doctors, nurses and support staff in A&E and the wards in which she was treated were brilliant, caring and professional. Well done to all.

   Got my son here with severe pain and didnt get any help for pain relief at all. Poor kid was crying and screaming from pain. No one cared. Worst hospital experience in my life. Avoid for your kids if you can.
