I can’t fault the staff at the royal bournemouth hospital, the way they all cared for my mum throughout her process of a hip replacement. From the pre op to the operation itself. All staff were kind caring informative and respectful to my mum as a patience and I couldn’t have wished for better. So thank you to everyone involved in the process of her pre op to operation.

Ended up here in Boxing Day after nasty injury. Was seen quickly. Clinical staff were lovely. A lovely nurse gave me morphine for the pain straight away and Dr Dan was very kind and explained my options clearly. I had to have a horrid procedure but wasn't left waiting around too long worrying about it and was out within 3 hours. Staff were unfailingly kind and good humoured. Thank you.

We had our little baby boy Roman in the maternity department, we were then looked after by the acorn ward for 6 days we stayed with them. I have stayed in 5 star hotels that did less for us than these wonderful people. Every single, nurse, doctor, midwife, cleaner are the most caring and kind people you could ever wish to meet. I hope their professionalism and dedication is recognised because it really should be! They made us feel so welcome and our baby is going from strength too strength so thankyou to all!!

I had a left total knee replacement and week ago. From the moment I arrived until I was released a day and a half later, I felt completely in their care. It was outstanding. The whole team, from my surgeon to the tea trolley guy, were first class. All in all, I would not go anywhere else. The signeage for the Derwent Centre was awful, but the place is undergoing extensive rebuilding and renovation. Top, top marks all round.

Very impressed with the hip replacement surgery and after care I received in the Derwent Centre. The staff are attentive, friendly and very good humoured with patients and each other. Getting my other hip replacement soon...no fear this time as I have every confidence.

I was in hospital 3days in September for an aortic aneurysm repair. The staff were all very friendly and the surgeon and anaesthetist took time to explain the procedure to me. However I did get the feeling that the anaesthetist was rattling off the side effects "parrot fashion " perhaps that was how he learned them. I have to go in again next week to correct a minor repair to the original operation. . . Even though they seemed extremely busy, the staff responded to all requests. from their patients.

Doctor Butter A&E department at royal Bournemouth hospital is a disgrace. Daughter attended due to not being able to weight bare on foot, no offer of an X-ray and told she should not have wasted his time. He embarrassed her and reduced her to tears. I understand that hospitals are under a lot of pressure right now but this is not acceptable. Semi long dark hair, I would say in his 30s. Doctor Butter you are a disgrace. I’ve just informed the hospital we will be taking this further. Shame on you!! Vile man.
