   It was my first time at the store, and all I asked the lady there (she had straight blonde hair, left open) was where I could find a glue stick. She said, "upstairs," but I wasn't sure how to get there. So I asked her if she could tell me the way. She said something really fast—honestly, all I caught was "third floor." I had no idea where that was. This whole interaction happened right near the counter. I ended up leaving the store, and she saw me walking out. I went into M&S (as it was the last store in that section and I couldn’t see any stairs anywhere) to ask someone if there were other floors in Bon Accord, I asked a lady there. She was really kind and she told me, “There are no other floors in this part, but what exactly are you looking for?” I explained everything—how I went to WHSmith for a glue stick and was told to go to a different floor. She said, “Ah, WHSmith does have a floor. I guess that’s where you might find it.” She was so helpful. I went back to WHSmith, found the stairs (which were right next to the counter), went up, and got what I needed. The same young lady was at the next counter while I was being served, and when I glanced at her, I noticed a smirk on her face. That moment made me feel really bad. Honestly, it felt like I was being laughed at, and I couldn't help but feel like I was the target of a silly, subtle racist act. I’m not afraid to say that—that’s how it felt. I’ve been in Scotland for over 2.5 years now and have always had great experiences, so this stood out in the worst way.

   If you want to talk behind your clients back then you should do it when they’re not in front of you. I went to buy a sharpie and two of your colleagues, specifically one with short hair and bangs, brunette, looked at me with a mean face and talked about me, as if I didn’t hear anything. Would not recommend that store.

   A really lovely lady called Lara helped me out on the self check outs in the Post Office. I am really not confident with technology and she took the time to show me what to do and was so friendly. Amazing customer service. Thanks Lara.

   Used self checkout bought 1 item came up with item and cost but when I paid with my card I was charged double went to a manned checkout to get it sorted out and was told it it would take 3 days for refund nice scam whsmith

   I’d give this place a zero if I could. Accused me of shoplifting with no other proof apart from the word of another customer. They checked my bag and guess what? They found nothing. Don’t think they took any action against the person who made the baseless report either. I’ll definitely not be shopping there ever again.

   Union Street Aberdeen branch really needs refurbishing in some aspects. Very crowded with restrictive space between isles making it difficult to travel through the store. The front windows are always unkempt with very poor displays & frankly could do with a good clean. Dirty rubbish & recycling bins kept @ the front of the store add to the impression of disinterest & neglect. With the post office now within the store it now has more foot traffic & is not taking advantage of this retail opportunity. On a positive note the staff are always very helpful & courteous & an asset to WHSmith.
