Stunning. Good car park which is directly by the trail, and the actual walk is lovely. Not too hard, very beautiful. Even though we went during the winter it was lovely and green and a spectacular sight from the top! Highly recommend.
Big parking lot, large wooded area. It's a 2-hour walk, with nice views, fresh air. There is also a bike path. I have seen some people riding horses there. Perfect place for a family walk.
Super place for a walk through the trees. Seemed to be a lot of scope for mountain biking too if you're into that. Plenty of space in the car park too
It's closed, because of being cut down. But managed to go the other side of the forest. Love it
Absolutely beautiful place that is worth coming to. The snow was especially magical despite getting my shoes soaked, the view is stunning, as we can even see Aberdeen and the sea. Only thing is if you don't have a car, it's pretty much impossible to come as the nearest bus stop is in the middle of the road.
Nice walk with good scenery. Some tracks a bit muddy when I was there. Wear good walking boots.
Nice varied forests, and REALLY long walking paths/tracks, which are wide & well used/maintained. Some of the mountain-bike trails seem to be quite extreme! & plenty of quiet spots where you can 'just get away from it all, & enjoy nature'.
A very pretty walk so close to Aberdeen! I was surprised we didn't have to drive far to enjoy this hike. The woods are pretty and the tower provides amazing views of the surrounding area.
