   Have been visiting Banchory Lodge for nearly 10 years. The last two visits being extremely disappointing. Came for dinner, shared 3 starters between 4 of us. Chicken liver patè, prawns, baked cheese and all were Pretty average. No steaks ( excuse was it was New Year’s Day ) Ordered two steak pies and 2 burgers. Pie is not a pie. It’s a simple stew with a square piece of pastry added on top. Burger was dry and too much onion chutney added on. Ordered 3 puddings between us all came with a teaspoon size of ice cream. Two brownies and one sticky toffee, unfortunately pretty average again. Had to ask the manager twice for ice for my drink. For what you pay here the food does not reflect the standard unfortunately.

   We recently got married at Banchory Lodge and the whole day was absolutely flawless. The entire day ran seamlessly — not once did we feel stressed or panicked. Everything was handled with such care and professionalism. The staff were truly wonderful, always checking in, making sure everyone was comfortable, and ensuring we had everything we needed. Their attention to detail made the day feel effortless and so special. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a more perfect day.

   We had a wonderful family lunch at Banchory Lodge to celebrate my parents golden wedding anniversary. My dad has issues hearing so we were given the option to book a private dining space which was lovely. We were well looked after and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend

   Our room had been double booked and we didn't get the one we wanted. We had a meal at night in the restaurant which was good for me, not so for my partner. Breakfast was fabulous. Table in room was very dusty and to high for the chairs/ sofa. Charging for a dog is fair, but a charge for every night seems a bit excessive as there is nothing offered or required.

   Great hotel in a beautiful location. The rooms were a decent size and well decorated. The staff were incredibly friendly! The hotel was dog friendly, BUT there was a barbed wire fence on the property that I had to keep by dog well clear off.

   Lovely location & friendly, helpful staff. The room was large with a comfortable bed,albeit a window had been left open so it was freezing. I gave 3 stars because the check-in/check-out was like something out of Fawlty towers (no key to annex where I was staying, inability to retrieve my gun from the gun-room in the morning, being told 3 different times for breakfast etc... etc...) Overall you get the sense that the Xmas trade is much more important than the occasional overnight stay. Shame as it used to be first-class all round

   We held our wedding at Banchory Lodge and they truly made it a beautifully magical day. Massive shout out to Ebony in events who was extremely helpful! Mark who managed the operations of the day and made sure everything ran smoothly. Everyone in the kitchen team for providing a wonderful meal for everyone. Callum on the bar making sure we were well watered! and William the waiter for being so polite and attentive. Couldn't fault the service at all. Rosie did the flowers & button holes for our wedding they were truly beautiful and exactly what was envisioned. Communication was brilliant and very high quality of work. Very well run organized and lovely lovely staff! Thank you!

   This was our first visit luckily it was a lovely sunny day so the outdoor bars activities for the wedding were perfect, along with the river Dee. We had a lively meal teas coffees and drinks at the bar. It was truly a great experience. Breakfast was varied and appealed to all tastes.
