We stayed at Crossways for the first night of our South Downs Way walk and it was amazing! Sue is a very conscientious and kind host and has thought of absolutely everything, to ensure a perfect stay for her guests. The accommodation is in a self contained building and is immaculately clean and very comfortable. The home baking, fresh bread and fully stocked fridge were much appreciated. An extensive range of toiletries was also provided. Communication beforehand is excellent and Sue goes the extra mile, offering bag transfers (Winchester to Exton, Exton to Buriton) and making a booking at The Shoe Inn for an evening meal if required. We would definitely recommend staying here!! Thank you Sue.

Absolutely wonderful, nothing quite like arriving to homemade baked goods after walking all day! Sue is an excellent and thoughtful host, the self-contained B&B was spotless and well-stocked - I wish I was staying longer than 1 night so I could enjoy the space more!! I felt very welcome and comfortable, she kindly booked me in at a local pub for dinner (The Shoe Inn) which was lovely - Sue's hospitality ensured I had a very enjoyable first solo walking trip experience, I will definitely return. Thanks again for everything :)

After a long wet day on the South Downs Way, it was a joy to arrive at Crossways B&B. Easy to find, everything was ready with the keys hidden so I could let myself in. Waiting in the kitchen was homemade banana bread and cookies, the perfect welcome while I made a cup of tea. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable and beautifully clean. The kitchen is thoughtfully and generously well stocked for the hungry traveller. Sue is a great host, friendly and welcoming. I hope to visit again. Thank you

Absolutely amazing, by far the best accommodation on my South Downs Way hike! It's right on the trail. The annex has lots of room to stretch out, rest & relax, recharge & repack backpacks. It was fully stocked with lots of choices of foods, snacks, breakfast items, teas & coffees and wonderful homemade goodies upon arrival. The host, Sue, was so welcoming, very knowledgeable of the trail, super friendly and very thoughtful of her guests needs, she has added so many little extras, too many to list! Thank you, Sue - you are amazing!

Wow! On the website it says "Exceeding your expectations"; that's an understatement. Sue was a lovely and welcoming host who made us feel instantly at home. As well as everything you could possibly imagine wanting for breakfast (and being able to use anything left - of which there was plenty - to make up a lunch for the following day), it was the thoughtful touches that made it feel extra luxurious; the baked treats when we arrived, the bathrobes and slippers; Sue really has thought of everything. We used it as a stop over while walking the downs; wish we could have stayed longer. Just amazing; thanks Sue.

Perfect location, fantastic property and enough fridge/ pantry goods for a week of breakfasts. Sue is really friendly and acommodating and the interior is modern to great taste. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

We stayed at places all up and down the South Downs Way and this was our favorite. Sue was so hospitable and thoughtful and easy to work with. We had to reschedule due to COVID-19 and she helped us all along the way. The guest house was beautiful and comfortable and up to date. The nearby restaurant (which she made reservations for us at) was excellent and the house is right on the path for the South Downs. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again if possible.
