Perfect base for a weekend visiting family in the area. The swimming pool was lovely & had a very relaxing ambiance to it. Room was just perfect for my daughter & myself, plenty of room & a great view from the bathroom of Eastleigh. Service wasn’t great though, dinner was loud as there was parties going on in the bar , which was fine, food was ok. But the service at the bar was terrible. I stood at one end of the bar for about 10 minutes with staff ignoring me, until another guest said they’re not taking orders from that end & I needed to go to the other. Once I’d done that I then got ignored again. Another 10 minutes of staff seeing me & not serving. I understand they were busy (although not all the time) but acknowledgement goes a long way. I heard someone else say about the app so I sat down & ordered a couple of drinks on there. When my daughter arrived I went to the bar to order food as had allergies. Again stood waiting & being ignored, again staff looked at us waiting & turned away. Finally managed to order but had to ask for my app order drinks too as they had not been done. We found this whole experience very disappointing & we weren’t the only ones.

Village hotel, Eastleigh is one of my favourite places to stay and I have been literally staying in this place for a very long time . I am always greeted with a smile and welcomed at the reception itself and always made to feel like I belong here. George, Sandra and Amanda from reception team are the best at what they do and makes things easy from the moment you enter the hotel. Ever grateful for the extra mile they go to make your check in easier. I have always known that Village Hotel is a place that meets your stay, food and exercise/wellbeing needs but the staff, especially George Sandra and Amanda make you feel that "Village life" is the best to be when you choose to stay in a hotel for vacation or for work. Always recommend this place for my friends...

Not that great. Firstly the check in was a "self check in" that was complicated enough to justify having an assistant there at all times. It took a while to get it sorted and all I could think was: seeing as there's an assistant here, why not put them behind a desk and check in like every other hotel ever... My room was very boxy and smelled of cigarettes. It was also not the cleanest, with several quite obvious stains around the bed area and shower. (see pictures). I opened the window to try to air the room out to be met by the sounds of the very busy road outside. The hotel is obviously not responsible for the noise outside, but I would not have encountered it had the room not smelled bad. The shower was dripping constantly and given that it was approximately 2 meters away from the bed, the sound was noticeable all night. If I hadn't travelled such a long distance to get to the hotel, I would have asked to change rooms. However, to be honest, the complicated check in and needing to use a QR code to contact assistance put me off.

We recently booked a stay at the Village Hotel, Eastleigh Southampton. Both externally and internally the premises is visually modern in appearance, boasting a generous amount of parking spaces. In addition to resident patrons, the hotel welcomes a high volume of individuals taking advantage of its state of the art gym suite facilities. Rooms and communal areas were refreshing in decor, fixtures, fittings and in house entertainment. On this occasion I elected to book the daily breakfast service during our stay despite previous negative experiences/interactions with staff/services at one or two other Village Hotels. In summary, both buffet and continental food options were well prepared/displayed with all dishes refreshed and used plates cleared as soon as practicable in a timely manner. Catering staff were dressed in their respective Village Hotel uniform, promoting the hotel in a positive manner. It would be remisce of me to finish without penning a special mention to restaurant staff members Angie and Jasmine. Throughout my stay, both ladies demonstrated wonderful interpersonal skills, communication, leadership and a level of professional rapport building I consider to be above and beyond their job descriptions. Angie's knowledge of local places to visit, the vibes and modes of travel across the City greatly assisted in making our visit a pleasurable one. Please pass on my positive and independent feedback to both ladies on my behalf. Thank you and see you again soon. Richie Northampton

The rooms are really clean and trendy. The beds are extremely comfortable and showers are great. Great value for a few nights stay. The facilities are great with amazing gym and Starbucks in the foyer. Bar and grill food has a good selection. Everything you need for an overnight stay.

Lovely modern hotel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The only points I would make are there are no family rooms and we had to book 2 rooms as we are a family of 4. Also didn't like the full glass door in the bathroom as no privacy. Overall we had a nice stay breakfast was decent and not to pricey

Decent hotel. Stayed here recently for a business event. The gym is really well kitted and included in the room price. Bar was good as was the coffee shop, and lots of hot spot space for laptop. The only drawback is that you can’t book any less than 2nights here. I don’t always need two nights for work so have to look elsewhere. If management read this, please offer one night options!

I have visited a number of times but haven't stayed in the rooms yet. The place is very clean, tidy, modern and welcoming. The staff members were very friendly, helpful and approachable. The gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms are excellent. The bar and grill are very popular with guests, gym members and visitors. A very good experience.

The hotel was great. Location good, not far off of the motorway. Room comfy, bed acceptable. Although pillows were a tad too soft, like sleeping on marshmallows, when asked there was no other choice. Accessible bathroom, huge! Plenty of room in room for wheelchair access. Service in the bar/restaurant slow. The gym seems to be very popular. A little disappointed by some of the actions of the guests at 4.30am!
