Warm and friendly with a home from home feel, beautiful house with parking in a quiet location a short stroll from the Cathedral. Huge bedroom with super comfy bed and bathroom right next door. Lovely hosts, so warm and welcoming. Yummy aga cooked breakfast around the kitchen table was a great way to start the day. Thank you Nick and Dotty for your hospitality - we had a wonderful stay.

A lovely stay in a great location, walking distance to the city centre. The house itself is warm and characterful with spacious, well-appointed rooms. We stayed in room 3, which has a nicely presented bath and sink but no shower or toilet, so if you're looking for a full en-suite you'll need to make sure that's what you're getting when you book. We had use of a private toilet along the corridor, and the shower in the family bathroom was ours to use and very lovely, so no complaints! After a long journey at the end of a long year, I could have stayed in the comfy bed and showered in the piping hot shower all week. Alas, we only stayed one night, but the breakfast in the morning was lovely, chatting to our fellow guests as Dotty cooked up some delicious scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. I would recommend St John's Croft to anyone seeking a friendly and comfy stay.

We had a lovely time staying here. The house is beautiful with lovely decor and touches, we visited Winchester for a wedding and Dotty was a great host, made an incredible breakfast and gave us great tips to enjoy the town.

Had a really enjoyable 3 night stay at this fantastic Bed & Breakfast. Ideally situated in a quiet part of Winchester but only a short walk into the town centre with all the sights and attractions. Large comfortable bedrooms looking out onto the garden and a generous breakfast that sets you up for the day. And Dotty, Nick & their family are very friendly & welcoming hosts. Would highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast when staying in Winchester.

Well ... what a treat !!! Dotty & Nick were so warm and welcoming from the very start. An absolute beautiful grade II listed house, stunning large room, the beds were so comfortable and our private bathroom was lovely and clean. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay, including the freshly cooked breakfasts from Nick each morning, whilst chatting away with us at the table - so a huge thank you for giving us such a relaxed and wonderful break away !! Fantastic location too - 5 mins walk from town. Will DEFINITELY be back !! Jo (Wales) & Ali (Newbury)
