We had a lovely time at this beautiful house. The cafe was excellent and the homemade caramalised onion and pork sausage roll was one of the best sausage rolls I have ever eaten. The we went on the Victorian Christmas house tour. Our guide was Andrew and I would just like to say what an amazing guide, so engaging, knowledgable with a passion for history he made every minute of the tour a delight. A fantastic festive afternoon. I highly recommend,

Need lots of time to see the fabulous property. TAKE CARE - use postcode from NTS to get to the correct entrance - your GPS may mislead! Guided tour are occasional - we nearly missed the 11am. Tour covers the key rooms and shows how the building evolved with Victorian fashion and hosted the monarch for a single night. Originally William Adam with changed and additions, the chapel added in 1881. Cafe excellent

One of our family's favourite places for a day out - beautiful scenery, sheltered walks, ducks, geese, and fab play parks. Top notch

Haddo House is a stunning stately home in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, offering a blend of history, elegance, and natural beauty. Managed by the National Trust for Scotland, this late Victorian mansion is known for its fine furniture, paintings, and beautifully maintained gardens. Beyond the house itself, the Haddo Country Park offers scenic walks, lakes, and monuments, making it a perfect destination for history lovers and nature enthusiasts alike as well as great photography locations ..

Decided to walk from Methlick out to Haddo house with the dogs. The walk takes you into the back of Haddo near the disabled parking. There has been a lot of work done on the grounds since my last visit as they continue to clear up the damage caused by the storms. They have done a terrific job clearing all of the downed trees. A lot more work will be required to replace the lost trees however the grounds themselves are looking good. Never used the cafe this time maybe next time. Plenty of ducks geese and swans for the kids to feed but remember no bread. Dogs enjoyed themselves even although they were kept on the lead. Can't wait to visit in the summer when the gardens will be in full bloom.

Guided tour was great, guide was very knowledgeable and interactive. Plenty walks around the house and you can get a fine coffee from the cafe. The chapel inside the house has a wow factor.

Lovely tea room. Beautiful grounds, didn't manage to tour the house as had missed the two tour times. We had to pay for parking despite being National Trust members.
