    Very useful to be able to leave the car and do the 20 minute walk into city centre. Very attentive host. He made me a cup of tea (lovely tray with lot, milk jug etc) on arrival after a long drive as my room wasn’t quite ready. Very traditional style room but spotlessly clean with everything I needed. I managed to leave my purse with spare cards and cash in the bedroom drawer when I left. John phoned me and posted back at no cost to myself. Great service. Thank you

    I could not decide whether to give four or five stars for each category but I think that if the weather had been better and the trains weren't on partial strike then I would have felt a bit brighter. The location is very close (5-10 minutes walk)to the central train station,bus stops and taxis. There are also 2 mini super stores (CoOp & Tesco)next to the train station. Another 10-15 minutes uphill and you are in the heart of the town. Breakfast is served first thing in the morning. I didn't stop for breakfast but I could smell the good flavours as they cooked. I thought that the room was excellent. I think that the bathroom was brand new and the bed was very comfortable.

    I have stayed in many BnBs in Southampton and this was by far the nicest, cleanest and best. My room was spotless, as was the bathroom, the host was extremely friendly and my breakfast was tasty. It was reasonably priced and well located. Very satisfied with my stay here.
