   We absolutely love staying here and have now done so three times (sorry this review is so late!) The most recent time though was for our wedding - we hired out all three cottages for the week. Firstly, Philipa and Jules are both lovely. So much so I insisted she came to join us for a wine on one of our post-wedding debrief evenings. They are both so easy to get on with, really chatty, a laugh and they always go the extra mile to help us. For example, they dropped my in-laws off in Ashbourne without any hesitation one evening and they lent us a huge bucket for our wedding flowers for a couple of days. Philipa was so excited for us all for the wedding and even took some lovely pictures of the men getting ready there, and sent them to me a few days later. Secondly, the cottages themselves are beautiful. They're each full of all of the things you would hope to expect and then some more, always going that extra mile with the little things I feel most places wouldn't include. Finally, the location is excellent. Lovely little nearby pubs, walks and lots of parking at the cottages themselves. Thank you for being incredible hosts and a part of our most special week! We will indeed be back!

   If you are looking for a real "home from home" feeling with a touch of luxury then look no further! The Mews is beautifully presented and anything you might need to feel at home and relaxed is there. The refurbishment has been completed to a very high standard with the on line photographs showing a true reflection of how impressive the accommodation is in reality. The warm welcome you will receive from Philippa & Julian will ensure your stay will get off to a great start, their priority is that you and happy with the accommodation and can feel relaxed! We stayed with our dog and there are plenty of great places to walk, either directly from the property or, following a short drive. During our stay we were lucky enough to have some sheep on the next field which was lovely to see and keep our dog bemused as he has not seen sheep before! There are plenty of opportunities to eat out locally and having tried a number of "Philippa's Favourite Hotspots" we can certainly agree they are a great option if you don't fancy cooking in the well equipped kitchen! In summary, for a relaxing break in a fantastic location and accommodation then look no further. I would highly recommend the property to all.

   We stayed here as we had our wedding at the nearby Grangefields venue. The cottages are absolutely beautiful and was very close to the venue. The hostess was lovely and chaperoned the vehicles in and around the cottages and was there if we needed her for anything. Thanks for having us Phillipa.

Their attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine care for our experience made our wedding weekend truly unforgettable. Our hosts went above and beyond in every aspect, from the immaculate preparation of the accommodation to their thoughtful gestures that added a personal touch to our special occasion. After an issue with our transport on the morning of the wedding our hosts did not hesitate to ensure the Bride got to the venue on time and in style, allowing us to focus on celebrating our big day. The accommodation itself was nothing short of spectacular. Every room was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities we could possibly need. The stunning surroundings and breathtaking views provided the perfect backdrop for any occasion, and our guests were equally impressed by the quality of the accommodation and the level of service provided. I cannot recommend Philippa & Julian and their accommodation highly enough. If you are looking for an accommodation and hosts that will exceed your expectations and make your special occasion truly unforgettable, look no further.

   We stayed here for our wedding - there were 13 of us x2 nights, spread across the three cottages, then just x2 for the weekend. There was unaminous praise across all guests that the accomodation was excellent. The cottages are nestled in the stunning Derbyshire countryside, right besides a sheep field (with some of the friendliest sheep you'll ever find!) There was ample parking, a great local pub nearby and dog walks. My wife and I were able to explore the local area while we stayed: if you're looking for a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle, this is it. Each room had it's own charm and character and all three cottages were well presented and clean. Not to mention the hottubs! Phillipa was an attentive host and met us as soon as we arrived. She even baked cakes and left eggs fresh from the farm! Would happily stay again.

   visited this place to see our friends who were staying there. They were in the Retreat. Nice modern kitchen adjoining the Lounge area. There is only a curtain for privacy separating the bedroom from the lounge The bed is a double but very low nice comfortable mattress Electric heating throughout with automatic thermostat. Lovely pato area with two seats and a two seater bench Carparking at the side with space for a visitor. Pub 5 minute walk.To some it up in one word Lovely
