Theatre Cats is fantastic and would recommend them. The staff are great and their young people really do: 'gain confidence and make new friends!' My daughter started with the Easter and Summer Schools before joining weekly classes 2 academic years ago and this is what she has to say: 'Ever since I started Theatre Cats I have loved it and I have learned so much.' She has blossomed and wants to pursue Performing Arts as a career as a result of her experience with Theatre Cats.

My attended Theatre Cats from age 7 to 16. Cat and her team have been a constant in his life and they have brought out a side of him that he doesn’t regularly show to the world. To see him on the stage acting, singing, dancing, helping out with younger children and gaining his grade 7 Speech and Drama has been truly heartwarming. He has been in productions as wide ranging as Oliver, Flashdance, Horton hears a Who and Sweeney Todd, along with various showcase events. I would recommend Theatre Cats to anyone whose child wants to become part of a great theatre family.

Growing up, I was always very shy and lacked confidence in myself. After joining Theatre Cats, I discovered a passion for acting and Cat helped me to unleash my potential through Speech & Drama Exams Grades 1-8, achieving distinctions in every grade. Theatre Cats taught me a variety of skills from improvisation, writing monologues, building characters, singing, dancing and many more. The summer schools and Christmas performances helped me to build my confidence by collaborating with a diverse range of people to create performances. After Theatre Cats, I decided to attend a performing arts college where I built further on my skills and studied acting full-time! I performed two incredible plays at the theatre. As well as this, I have helped out teaching students acting, singing and dancing at Theatre Cats’ Easter and summer schools. I am now attending the University of Warwick studying English Literature and Theatre Studies and I can’t thank Cat and her team enough for all the hard work and the belief that they showed in me.

After being heavily involved in drama groups and small productions I came to an age where I wanted to further develop my acting and performance skills. Joining Theatre Cats straight away impacted my confidence, and self belief. Having such a variety of teaching methods helped each individual in different ways through workshops, games, improvisation, exams and full productions. Theatre Cats wasnt just a educational experince it became a big part of my life, creating life long friends and allowed me to have such a strong support network for future works. The skills and tools gained from these classes made me realise what I wanted to do with the talented I now saw I had. After recently graduating from Edgehill University with a 1st class degree in musical theatre, and writing and creating a variety of short films and a being freelance model, the possibilities for the future are so exciting. I want to thank the Theatre Cats family for helping me along the way!
