I have been training with the TISKA Karate club at Tilehurst, Reading since 2012 when both myself and my son joined. We came to karate in search of an activity to help our son build esteem, confidence, respect, discipline and active listening. I can honestly say that this is hands down the best thing I have ever invested in for my son. He became more confident, attentive, stronger and disciplined and I did ok too :) Mr Mistry the Sensei is hugely experienced, very approachable and makes each class very enjoyable. The Tilehurst club has a wide and diverse membership with ages ranging from the very young to the very senior (like myself). I would highly encourage and recommend anyone looking for a hobby that delivers, to come along and give it a try......
Excellent karate training in a well-organised and family friendly club. Mr Mistry is an outstanding, experienced teacher who instils discipline and attention to detail in the Shotokan karate style. Great for all round fitness and self-defence. Everyone is encouraged to progress and achieve their potential. I have been coming to this club with my son for years. We have learned so much from Mr Mistry, had fun, made friends and achieved our black belts. Cannot recommend highly enough.
After almost 8 years with Tiska Reading my husband and I and our 2 boys have really enjoyed karate training with Mr Mistry. He is a fantastic instructor/sensei with a genuine love for karate and has nearly 30 years of experience. It is a very relaxed family friendly activity which supports karate achievement and fitness.
