    I attended Stracathro Hospital in October for full knee replacement surgery and was met with only kindness, patience and understanding from the minute I arrived until I left. The staff are kind, professional and very helpful. The ward and surrounding areas are immaculate. Going into hospital is a daunting experience and I was nervous about what was ahead but everything was explained every step of the way and I was given the opportunity to ask any questions that I had. I was given contact information before I left so that if any issues arose I was able to call for assistance or information. I would like to say a huge “Thank You” to all staff involved in my care.

    I was admitted to Stracathro Surgical Unit on 28/10/25 for open Umbilical hernia repair and I have to say the staff were absolutely amazing. Very attentive, friendly and so professional. They all introduced themselves and explained everything that was happening and going to happen. I cannot praise them enough. Thank you all for making my stay as best as it could be. All staff is a big credit to Stracathro Hospital, and hope everyone getting rewarded for it.

    Easily the best hospital I have ever been to. I was admitted today (7/10/25) at 7.15am for my long awaited gallbladder removal. From the moment I stepped in, I was made to feel safe, at ease and very welcomed. All staff were efficient and attentive and nothing was too much. They were kind, gentle and made me laugh when I felt super anxious and nervous. I wish I got some of the names to thank them personally but I was so dottled when I came around! I couldn't praise them highly enough for what they do and they way they treat everyone with such love and care. An absolute credit to Stracathro. To all the teams, nurses, surgeon, anaesthetists... from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for the care you provided me. I'll always be so grateful.

    On 2/06/25 I was admitted to ward 12 Stracathro for a total hip replacement. Fr the moment I was admitted until I was discharged on the evening of the 3/06/25 ALL the staff, nurses, OT/PT staff, surgeons, anaesthetists were absolutely fantastic. They couldn’t do enough for you explaining everything as they went so you fully understood what was to happen and putting you at your ease and after the op from the surgeons, post op staff on down they came to see you were all right and answer any questions. A special mention must also go to day /night ward staff who continually went above and beyond and catered for your every need. Even the food was excellent. I can’t thank you all enough for making a stressful situation tolerable

    Had to attend Stracathro Hospital for a hip replacement on Monday, 13 June. Had the op, received physio and met with the OT then released on Wednesday afternoon. All went like clockwork. Staff were fantastic, always available if required. Couldn’t praise them enough. Excellent.
