Recently came home from holiday in Egypt, with really bad diarrhoea and bad chest infection. The Receptionists and Doctors couldn't do enough to help. I have been with the practice for over 16yrs, never had any issues. Always polite and helpful staff.
Absolutely terrible surgery. Call for help with my back and knee pain aswell as my mental health. Dr mcmann has reduced the pain meds I am currently on by 50% the first time she reduced them. Every other health care professional has told me and iv read that I should have been reduced slowly at 10% at the very most and she has reduced them more and more. And I have asked for anti depressants aswell as help with my ongoing serious pain. She has ignored my request for any help with my mental health and has prescribed diclofenac for my pain. I have been on dihydrocodeine for years for this pain and she think a substitute to diclofenac is the right thing. I am absolutely disgusted the way this Dr treats me. She makes me feel like a drug addict or something. When I am just trying to keep my pain to a minimum. So again just another doctor that ignored the signs of people suffering badly with mental health. If anyone is thinking of joining this Dr practice. Please don't as it is a complete disgrace. I have applied to a different surgery so hopefully I have a new Dr within the next few days who is actually willing to see me and help with my problems
I have just received a phone call from the Bucksburn medical practice owner Pamela Mcmann. She said that she would not be prescribing me anything else as everything I was on wasn’t necessary and the frequency of getting the medication is too much. Also then went on to accuse me of selling the medication! This is the most insulting accusation I’ve ever had. She hasn’t once seen me the whole time I’ve been with the surgery and the injury’s I’ve sustained (working offshore) to my back has been examined by 3 of her doctors and one of her physios that have all agreed that the damage is real and signed me off work. I reiterate she hasn’t examined me once and also accuses me of selling medication. This is total negligence and so out the blue that I’m totally shocked at the treatment and accusations alleged,. I must say the other docs are really good and the staff are great but Pamela Mcmann is unbelievably out of hand for making such allegations and just a total neglect of her patients. I can’t believe what has just happened and will be taking legal action against her accusations and malpractice
It’s shameful and unacceptable the way the receptionist hasten you during a call for appointment. Perhaps, they should be reminded that some of us are paying over 41% of our earnings towards Tax to keep the NHS going. If this kind of low standard would continue perhaps it’s time for the NHS to go private. The last time I visited, I wasn’t satisfied with the way the GP rushed through my 2+ years old son. I huge the management to look into this and make amendments.
The service i receice from the staff, nurses and doctors has always been first class. They are all friendly, helpful and professional always ensuring they deal with me efficiently and quickly. I am very grateful to everyone especially through the difficult times everyone has been facing. A big thank you from me.
I have been using this Med Practice for around 10 years. Quality of the care used to be good but its getting worse day by day especially from the Locum doctors. Its really hard to get an appointment and you would be lucky if you get it with Dr McMann. Rest of the Locum Doctors in my experience are there just to put things off for another day. Reception staff & nurses are always friendly and helpful.
Great staff, reception, doctors and locum doctors in my experience. Almost always managed to get an appointment the same day or day after. Deeply regretting moving practice to BoD as my new surgery is a shambles.
Been with this practice for about 3 years and always very helpful staff. Doctor McMann is great with my daughter and receptionist Debbie is a pleasure to deal with. Had problems collecting a prescription from the chemist and Debbie was more than willing to sort it quickly and efficiently for me. Very happy.
